  1. Dammit I just remembered Trachsel pitching. We need at least 4 more this inning.
  2. Only 8 premium pages? You guys are pathetic
  3. Ummm...getting drunk at 12:38 PM like you?
  4. I was there for that game. It was part of the double header the Cubs had with the Marlins because of the hurricane. I had awesome seats 2 rows from the field right next to the Cubs dugout. The Cubs split the DH, but it was a great day. Nomar signed my girlfriends' hat (she's obsessed with Nomar) and Alou tossed me a ball. Kensing got rocked that day. Maybe he should worry more about pitching better and less about the fans. I was there as well. Jon was too and I think Mark R. It was when I first moved back to Chicago.
  5. So your saying that should the Cubs host a game in lets say 4 days from now for lets say the Division championship, the field would be in horrible shape?
  6. Trachsel - 5.1 IP 6 H 3 ER 3 BB 1 K Cubs win 8-4
  7. Here are Cassel's 3 major league starts: 8/31 vs. LAD - 5.2 IP 10 H 3 ER 1 BB 5 K 9/17 vs. PIT - 6.0 IP 8 H 0 ER 0 BB 3 K 9/22 vs. COL - 2.1 IP 6 H 3 ER 1 BB 0 K This will be his first start on the road.
  8. Found Cinci's home schedule and WE DON'T OPEN AGAINST THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at the first page of this thread for what I've got so far.
  9. This is ridiculous. To my knowledge there are 3 interleague scenarios that the Cubs haven't been involved in: @ Tampa Bay, vs. Baltimore, and @ Boston. We had the chance to knock them all out, but we won't. The most intriguing matchup won't happen. I'm disgusted. Anyways I'm going to update the first post with tentative matchups
  10. could you imagine being in his position? if it were a meaningful game and I had a chance to win, of course I am going to go all out. but in a situation like this, how can he just let a lifetime of loyalty to this team go? I know I would not be able to, and might just ask to be seated so as to not cross the integrity of the game. I can't imagine asking to sit rather then bomb to the Cubs going over well in his clubhouse
  11. The Nationals might not be world beaters, but to find the Marlins in the NL East Standings, they have to look down
  12. My guess: Assume tying record is 90-72 Mets and Phillies play one gam playoff. Winning team wins East. Losing team goes home. Lets say Mets win Mets: 91-72 -- Phillies: 90-73 1.0 Rockies, Padres, DBacks compete in a three way battle for West. Lets assume that Padres win coin flip and choose to play title game on road. Lets say Rockies win first game and lose second to Pads. Padres 91-72 -- Rockies 91-73 0.5 DBacks 90-73 1.0 And WC Race: Rockies 91-73 -- DBacks 90-73 0.5 Padres 90-73 0.5 Rockies win WC However my hypothesis does not work if Rockies win both games. Then it would be: Padres 90-73 -- DBacks 90-73 -- Phillies 90-73 So who knows
  13. Peavy is currently on the mound as we speak
  14. If the Cardinals can somehow win this one, it ensures that the Cubs will remain alive until the last day of the season, no matter what.
  15. No way TLR said that....[/quote He did indeed
  16. If this score holds Cubs record...Brewers to tie...to win 0-4...2-2...3-1 1-3...3-1...4-0 2-2...4-0...N/A 3-1...N/A...N/A 4-0...N/A...N/A Make no lies, simply maintaining status quo tonight would be HUGE
  17. LOL. Anyone watch sportsnight and see DeRosa's reaction after his warning track out? He looked like Willie Mays Hayes after flying out to the track in Major League 2
  18. Kelly Lee Stinnett (born February 4, 1970 in Lawton, Oklahoma) is a catcher in the St. Louis Cardinals organization of Major League Baseball. His wife is named Gina, and they have three sons named Austin, Alex, and Aaron. Edit: Get it? His 3 sons' names start with an A. AAA????
  19. Go....Stinnet? No way LaRussa would do something bold like PH for a better hitter.
  20. I'm sure Albert would have been able to score on a single
  21. I'm sure Miguel Cairo is going to provide insurance (not)
  22. Because counting down outs has worked out so well in the past. :wall: One of the 2 comments that has made me laugh tonight. Too drunk to remember the first
  23. 6 more outs. They will still win
  24. How drunk does everyone think I can get? My girlfriend is going to hate me when she comes over
