  1. DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE
  2. Here are the Bears selections in various mock drafts from both professional writers and bloggers. All were updated yesterday. The Mock draft list was taken from http://www.hailredskins.com/MockDraft.htm Scout - Mendenhall, RB, Illinois Pierogi's - Sweed, WR, Texas MyNFLDraft - Stewart, RB, Oregon (please no) FF Jungle - Williams, OT, Vanderbilt Consensus Draft - Otah, OT, Pittsburgh D&J Mock Draft - Clady, OT, Boise State Inside the Eagles - Phillips, S, Miami Fantasy Football Xtreme - Brohm, QB, Louisville Draft Prospects - Clady, OT, Boise State Huddle Geeks - Harvey, DE, Florida Sportscity - Stewart, RB, Oregon (please no) East Coast Sports - Otah, OT, Pittsburgh Junk Yard Jake - Mendenhall, RB, Illinois So 13 mock drafts, 9 different selections, 6 positions. They are all over the place about the Bears.
  3. I could see them taking Flacco in the 3rd. I think he'll go before the third. One crazy mock draft had him going late first, but that was before the combines.
  4. I'll believe it when I see it. and since I'll be at work during the game and the game doesn't appear to be on TV, it's going to be awhile before I believe it.
  5. QB and likely RB they won't address. I think they believe that with a good offensive line, the QB and RB will be better. The problem is, they aren't doing crap about the offensive line and that worries me. I'm starting to be worried that they are gonig to rely on Josh Beekman to win the OG spot. I heard he was terrible in camp last year. WR I'm pretty sure they are expecting to get a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round and make their receiving corps Booker, Bradley, Hester, Davis, Rookie, Haas. So my guess for the draft is 1st: OT 2nd: WR 3rd: QB/RB 4th: OG 5th: NT 6th: Some pet defensive player that Angelo loves And their depth chart will be QB: Grossman, Orton, Rookie RB: Benson, (possibly a player like Dunn but probably not), Peterson, Wolfe FB: McKie WR: Booker, Bradley, Hester, Davis, Rookie, Haas TE: Olsen, Clark LT: Tait, St. Clair LG: Beekman, Metcalf C: Kreutz, Oakley RG: Garza, Rookie RT: Rookie DE: Ogunleye, Idonije DT: Harris, Toeania DT: Dvorchek, Rookie DE: Brown, Anderson MLB: Urlacher, Wilson OLB: Briggs, Williams OLB: Hillenmeyer, Okwo? CB: Tillman, Vasher, McBride, Manning Jr, Payne, Graham SS: Manning, Archuletta (but will probably get cut) FS: Brown, McGowin K: Gould P: Maynard Thats 50 of the 55 roster spots
  6. This is my favorite line:
  7. I posted the link to the podcast on OH, and one of the posters listened and said this about it: Looks like a false alarm.
  8. Oh and I'm at work, but if anyone wants to listen to the interview to verify the info, the link for it is here: http://www.wfan.com/pages/744503.php
  9. Time to stir the pot (from OH): I don't know if its true. This guy has posted true info before (user name Harry Carry). It's probably not true because it goes against everything we've heard lately (no Marquis or Payton)
  10. They'd rather not take the PR hit and risk losing him to the Penal League halfway through the season.
  11. Alrighty. Hopefully he looked good in getting shelled
  12. Look for this trade to be announced today, so as to not give Brett Favre's retirement its day in the sun.
  13. This seems weird that Kenney is so vocal about trades getting done.... It's almost like Kenny wants Hendry to get these deals done no matter what and is putting pressure through the radio to get them done no matter what. Obviously it kills Jimbo's leverage but still. Or maybe he just likes getting the fans hopes up.
  14. I think Packers fans have been blessed with some great long term QBs and don't realize how hard it is to find a good QB in the NFL. Rude awakening next year.
  15. Fixed as something I would have said after 2005 or 2006 even. Young talent: Lance Briggs, Nathan Vasher, Cedric Benson, Rex Grossman, Daniel Manning, Devin Hester, Tommie Harris, Dusty Dvorchek, Bernard Berrian, Mark Bradley It's ridiculous to assume Rodgers would take over with no growning pains.
  16. Wishful thinking. No Gallagher = No trade. Yup, Fuld means nothing to them, they are satisfied with their OF of Luke Scott, Adam Jones and Nick Markakis (which is actually pretty good). Murton MIGHT interest them over Scott but including him even wouldn't be overwhelming. Pie would get them talking (but of course we won't do that.) The rest of the deal looks up to par, but you're going to have to switch Fuld with Gallagher unfortunately. Ideally, I'd love Gallagher, Patterson, Veal, Marquis for Roberts and Payton, but I don't think the Orioles would do that.
  17. Absolutely unacceptable. The Bears had been rebuilding for years and years (with the exception of the fluke 2001 season). They finally make it back to the playoffs for two years. Rebuilding AGAIN so quickly after only two playoff appearances is not an option. Yes but its the NFL. Very few teams can have sustained periods of success. How many current teams have made the playoffs 3 years in a row? The Bradys and the Mannings and the Seahawks. That's it. Even in a terrible NFC, only one team can consistently be good. Rebuilding doesn't have to be 4-12 rebuilding. It can be 8-8 rebuilding. I'm not saying its an excuse, and I'm upset the way this offseason has gone, but maybe they realized that they needed to get better and they couldn't do it in oe offseason.
  18. Let's set the tone for the regular season today.
  19. So 7-10 more days. That takes us to March 10-13th. Wow has this dragged on
  20. So not realizing Ayenbadejo was going to be a FA after the season, I was at the Bears/Saints game at the end of the year. My friend works in the pro shop making customized jerseys, and he told me he could make me one. Trying to be trendy and get a jersey that no one else has, I told him to make me Ayenbadejo jersey. I am going to get 1/2 of a game use out of it....darn
  21. Looks like we'll see the Reds at the bottom of the OBP standings for awhile, Dunn or no Dunn
  22. After Howry gives up 3 runs in the ninth.... CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!
