    I don't know if we can just peg Lieber into a start. He's only pitched 2 innings or more once since May 2nd. I doubt he's stretched out to go more than 3-4 innings. In fact, he's only pitched 3 times this month total. I think Marshall would be the better choice.

    Well it definitely wasn't a cramp. Z seemed like he wanted to pitch through it....but then again Prior probably pitched with a small tear in his shoulder for probably quite awhile.

    what is the criteria for 'accepted losses'? is there somehow a cool way of losing i'm not aware of? No...just when the Cubs are going into the 9th down two, I tend to have time to rationalize that losing isn't the end of the world, and it happens to all teams, etc. But when they start a fake rally in the 9th, I can't help but get myself excited again. And then when we fail, it feels like a second loss.

    Seriously why the fake rallys two nights in a row. They managed to piss me off both nights when I could have easily accepted both losses.

    Get our long reliever in! Oh wait our long reliver hasn't pitched in like 9 days and is no longer stretched out to go more than an inning or two because he was used as a LOOGY last month.

    There's only a handful of pitchers that can do that. And even they have bad starts from time to time.

    Every team gets swept during the year. The Rays are awesome at home, and are certainly good enough to sweep anyone. It sucks but hopefully we can pull out this one or the game tomorrow and take it back to Wrigley where we rule.

    Not at all. His numbers wouldn't tell you that....in fact his 7 ER game in LA was probably the best I've seen him throw...which wasn't that great.

    Lee? He's batting .314/.432/.486 in his last 44 PAs coming into today. So he is. He still hasn't looked like the Lee I know. Where is the Lee hot streak we all know and love?

    I don't know...one of Cedeno's K's last night looked pretty bad. Also pretty sure Soriano has looked bad quite a few times. But I will agree that swinging at the exact same pitch 3 times is pretty bad.
