  1. Great, another situation to ruin for Control+Alt+DLee
  2. I'm still waiting for the sparks to fly from our Cubbie bats.
  3. Fools? Ultimately, theres only one person in charge of that :)
  4. really? the first place, best record in baseball 2008 cubs remind you of the 96-loss 2006 cubs? sorry, dudes, but it is really, really hard to stomach these threads. try enjoying the season a bit. He's just saying he gets a weird feeling right now. Haven't you ever gotten a creepy feeling in real life where you feel like something is wrong even though nothing is?
  5. Soto still .225/.304/.391/.695 in his last 43 games (since May 5th)
  6. lol that didn't take long hahahah he thought i was serious Are you sure your not? The pessimism beast inside of me is telling me the same thing. I just don't have enough balls to say it.
  7. I'm firmly in the camp that believes that Beasley will be better for the next 2-3 years, but Rose will have the better career when all is said and done. However, Beasley's biggest downside is his height. Do not forget that Tyrus was about 6'8 after he was taken after his Frosh year, and now stands around 6'10 1/2 presently. Luol Deng had a similar albeit smaller increase as well.
  8. What are the eligible dates for our players to come off the DL. I think this is correct: Soriano: Any time (0 days left) Reed: 7/3 @ SF (6 days) Zambrano: 7/4 @ STL (7 days)
  9. It just scares me that this is our RH bench when Reed is starting Cedeno Blanco I understand the roster crunch. It would be a lot easier if Fontenot played SS, so we could just ship Cedeno off and replace him with someone.
  10. In an ideal world, the Cubs can get all of these filled, but lets be honest...with the state of the Cubs farm system, whatever your top priority is, it will probably gut the farm system leaving the other needs unfilled. Here is my list: 1. Front Line Starter 2. Veteran right handed bench player with power 3. LOOGY/Any capable left handed bullpen arm. That's really it. Any guesses on who would be available for my number 2 and 3?
  11. Don't know how reliable Al from BCB is, but I have seen him post some information that turned out to be true in the past. Anyways this is what he says:
  12. THE CUBS ARE INTERESTED IN A LEFT HANDED BAT??! YOU DONT SAY!!
  13. Our run differential is going to take a huge hit after this one.
  14. Ugh what a perfect time for a 10 game road trip. If we go 5-5 I'll be happy. 2/4 vs. SF, 2/3 vs. CWS, 1/3 vs. STL
  15. If we lose this it will be 4-5 in our last 9. Not terrible, but not exactly where we want to be. Also, 3-7 vs. the AL East ugh
  16. I think the injuries are taking a toll on us. Can't be missing your star OF, ace pitcher, platoon CF, and your most patient hitter and not expect to perform poorly.
  17. Losing 2/3 from the Orioles at home is unacceptable IMO...but I guess it happens from time to time. Maybe we'll sweep the White Sox again..
  18. I still hate Edmonds, but with increased expectations now, predict how his final numbers will look like. Off hand I think he is something like .238/.318/.419 for the year My guess .265/.335/.445
  19. Yet we are 1-2 against said horrible teams ;)
  20. Ramirez looked like the only acceptable outcome for his last 2 ABs would be a Home Run.
