    Is there any way to build Harden into a more efficient pitcher? Injury prove plus strikeout pitcher doesnt seem like a good combo long term. Kid's got amazing stuff, if he only find a way to jam hitters instead of missing bats, he could be an all time great.

    First smart defensive play of the series for Milwaukee. No offense to Harden, but I play in a kickball league and the girls in my kickball league know to run on anything that might be fair.

    Did anyone else hear anything about Harden complaining about a tightened shoulder after this last start? I was reading the Cub Reporter blog and in their game preview they linked to a comment in the last game thread that said Lou told Ron that Harden was pulled after 87 pitches because of a tight shoulder

    As you can see from the calendar, the game is coming up this afternoon. I'm sure you are as excited for it as I am, as our cities are rivals and have been for quite some time. Your confidence in your team is high, but rest assured, you will suffer humiliation when the sports team from my area defeats the sports team from your area. On numerous occasions, you have expressed the conviction that your area's sports team will be victorious. I must admit that every time I hear you make this proclamation, I react with both laughter and disbelief. "Ha!" I say to myself with laughter. "What?!" I say to myself in disbelief. How could you believe that your sports team could beat my sports team? It is clear that yours is inferior in every way. When the sporting contest begins, the players on your team will be treated as though they are inconsequential. It will be remarkably easy for my team to accumulate more points than yours. There are many reasons for this, starting with the inferior physical attributes of the players representing your area. Strength, speed, and agility are just three of the qualities that the players on the team from your area lack. The players representing my area, on the other hand, have these traits in abundance.

    I'm obviously optimistic but people are making it seem like we've won this already. Stranger things have happened then Dave Bush beating Rich Harden. That said, things are looking good.

    Why can't Eyre pitch? This is getting ridiculous. He better be traded or DFA'd tomorrow. Theres no point in having him here if he's not going to pitch in any situation.

    Line? 3.0 IP 5 H 5 ER 3 BB 1 K You forgot the 3 HBP seriously? You gotta wonder what is next for Rich Hill. Showed too much success to just release him. I would consider just shutting him down for the year as whatever small hope the Cubs had of a contribution from him this year is completely gone now.
