  1. His momentum was heading out of bounds, he would have been out at roughly (within milliseconds) the same time. The push was an attempt to get the ball loose so it was called a INC
  2. 2 games with 0 sacs for the Bears star studded D Line
  3. These are unwritten board rules. Also its just common decency to come into a board dominated by Bears fans after a really painful loss and celebrate. If you want to talk about the game from a Falcons fan perspective, discuss in the Week 6 thread.
  4. Again, do you think this happens often in games, or do we have a legit gripe.
  5. I saw that on the final pass play. That clock did NOT start as fast as it should have. Is there anyway we can protest that?
  6. Can you dream up a more painful way to lose a game? I guess the only thing I can think of is if the Bears were up 7 with 2 seconds left, and they brought Rex in to take a knee, but he missed the snap and fumbled, the other team recovers and scores a TD, then the PAT snap was botched, causing the holder to pick it up and run it into the end zone for a game winning 2 point conversion.
  7. Assuming everything else that happened afterwards went the same way. Which isn't the case, this isn't an econ class. It's a joke, I'm not an idiot.
  8. Now I know how Arizona fans felt after that MNF game 2 years ago.
  9. They had no business winning this game even if they had won it. But every game we've lost theres an argument that we should have won. Of course 1 of our 3 wins we could hav elost.
  10. Should have kicked that FG
  11. This game will be on NFL network this week either way.
  12. Nope, they were right to go for it. Care to explain why? How can you not take guaranteed points when you are down 2 scores? kicking a FG doesn't even take away your chance of winning with a td. If they were down 10, I could see the Bears justify it by saying that 2 TDs would give us a win, but a TD and FG would tie it. You kick the FG, then score a TD on the next drive and you win the game You're gambling you can punch it in from inside the 1. Yes, you need the FG but you also need the TD and that's a really good opportunity for it. Worry about the TD later. At least put yourself in a position to need only a TD later. I think we'll agree to disagree there. You need the TD either way. I think your odds of scoring from a yard out with an extra down and then getting to within field goal range on the next drive are better than of taking the FG and trying to score a TD on the next drive. What are better odds? Well you have like a 99% chance of getting a FG and only being down 1 score, vs. a 70% chance maybe of getting the TD, and 30% chance of still being down 2 scores with 8 minutes left.
  13. So much for that. Now you have to pray for a TO
  14. Nope, they were right to go for it. pretty decent odds for a safety if they don't call that penalty How is there ever decent odds for a safety? Without the penalty, they probably handoff to the FB or a QB sneak to get some room to run the offense. It's 2 downs from the half yard line. While I wouldn't have complained if they took the FG, you can't claim it wasn't a good opportunity to get the TD that you need. It was a great opportunity. I'm not in complete disagreement, but if given that situation and personnel, I would make that choice 100 times out of 100. It's not a case of retrospect either becuase I was telling my friends that I kick the FG on 4th down before the 3rd down play.

  17. I disagree. They're right there. There's no guarantee they'll be right there again. There is also no guarantee that you get the ball 2 more times if you fail to get in the end zone. Worry about getting the TD when you have the ball down 6 There's no question you're accepting that it's do or die if you go for it. I still think it's the right call, though. I also don't trust the O-line and the O-Coordinator for the Bears in that situation. A different team and maybe I reconsider.

  20. That was a horrible decision to go for it down 2 scores midway through the 4th. You take the guaranteed points. Now theres 8 mins left and you're still down 2 scores.
  21. well, they kicked 4 field goals and punted once I know, I feel more shocked that they have only completed 6 third down conversions.
  22. I hope you lose even more for assuming a victory with 13 minutes left in the game.
  23. Sportsline claims the Falcons are 6-12 on 3rd down. Feels like 15-17
