  1. Wow, Milton couldn't get any worse.
  2. I guess I was not deemed worthy as I seemed to have blacked out for the 3 seconds the ball was in the air and came to after the ball came back to the pitcher.
  3. Also similar to the pitch that Hart walked in a run with. So which is it ump?
  4. I like to go into opposing boards before they play the Cubs to see their impressions, and every one of them says we need to get to their bullpen. And mostly their right, but its funny to read that and then see a stat that the Cubs pen had a 2.99 ERA last month.
  5. Baker hate is something this board is no stranger too. Yeah stupid Sam Baker. Worst OT in the NFL. Great now you got me started.
  6. Baker is a big loser!!! BOOOOO!!!!! Sam Fuld is going to kick your ass.
  7. Jeff Baker time! First major league AB since April 26, and it's with a RISP, 2 outs in a tie game.
  8. Because its pretty likely that he's not the long term answer so why get excited about being teased? But if you want to be happy knock yourself out. Just don't go overboard.
  9. Wow, Fuld has played in 2 games, how do you know he's not a .550 OPS major league player that pitchers haven't figured out yet? Tuffy Rhodes hit 3 HRs on Opening Day 1994, how did that work out for him? Sam Fuld is a direct descendent of Babe Ruth. Are you saying Lilly should run for President? :)
  10. Nice inning Heilman, I'll give credit where credit is due. If the Cubs can get a run here, its 8-9-1 due up for the Brewers in the 9th, and the 1 is Kendall.
  11. Wow, Fuld has played in 2 games, how do you know he's not a .550 OPS major league player that pitchers haven't figured out yet? Tuffy Rhodes hit 3 HRs on Opening Day 1994, how did that work out for him? Of course I don't believe Fuld is the player he's shown so far, but I do know that he's hot right now and Sori has been god awful for over a month. I think I'll take my chances with the guy who is red hot instead of the guy who has done nothing but hit mile high pop ups. I'm just so sick of the "I'm going to "Vance" Fuld into the All Star game because he's the greatest hitter ever" sentiment.
  12. You forgot that GRIT Factor is 3/4s of how UZR is compiled. Theriot's GRIT factor of 1593.2 is a really big part of that.

  14. Quick inning. So did they decide if Heilman coming into the game means that the inning automatically starts with runners on first and second with 0 outs, or does he still have to do the work of walking the first 2 batters?
  15. I wish we had scored more than 1 run in the 4 ABs we had with a runner on third and less than 2 outs in this game. It might have been enough.
  16. Yeah its too bad that Soriano has never gunned out a runner at home. Unless you are talking about defense as a whole, then keep talking.
  17. Semi-related note: I am pretty sure I saw Shark get out of a cab in front of his Southport home at about 1:30 AM last night.
  18. He didn't convince Lou to start Fuld in LF today.
  19. Does anyone know where you can find numbers like "as LHB vs. LHP" and "as RHB vs. RHP" for Switch hitters? I looked on Baseball Reference and all they have are platoon splits only (as RH vs. LH and as LH vs. RH". I'm interested to see how Bradley does as a RH vs. RHP for his career because I know he's had situations where that's occured based in gaps of data.
  20. I just got done thinking "Crap Suppan is staying in...oh well at least we get a free out this inning"
  21. Seriously Ive tried defending him and staying on his side, but god damn hes making it hard. Looking at his splits it's baffling to me as to why they insist on acting like he's more useful hitting LH. Yeah, he's had all but 1 of his paltry home runs from that side this season, but his numbers are drastically better from the RH side. Since everyone is talking about splits, I'll fill everyone in As a RHB: .345/.415/.500/.915 As a LHB: .192/332/.315/.646
  22. Just missed that one. I wouldn't expect a lot of HRs with the wind anyways.
