  1. I think the Bears are just trying to keep Cutler hurt. Alright and theres our first first down in half a game.
  2. Wouldnt expect anything different with this team would you? I expected 2 flags
  3. The Bears offense hasn't had a first down since there was 5:26 left in the 1st quarter (the 71 yard pass to Bennett)
  4. Nice, Rams in FG range already.
  5. We caught the punt around the 30 yard line and we're gonna punt from the 14.
  6. This offense is awesome.
  7. Has that end around to Hester worked even once all year? And by worked, I mean caused positive yardage.
  8. True. Plus people have been making the Cower-Carolina link for a long time.
  9. 10 points at halftime against the Rams. Offense FTW.
  10. LOL, drop the snap, pick up the ball, run to your right and fall into a sack.
  11. Haha, I don't think the Rams will let that happen. Why? Their offense on that drive looked better than the Bears all game outside of those 2 50 yard pass plays and the pass interference call.
  12. Wait isn't your holder supposed to shovel it to the TE on 4th down?
  13. They did one year . . . . Yeah they did. :) Even if it's only in my mind, Peyton won that award. Probably, but the momentum was all for Woodson that year. And you have to admit, what he did on the defensive end that year was unparalleled. I was still pretty shocked when he won it though. Peyton looked the most shocked, almost paralyzed.
  14. It happened in the UM/ND game this year and they didn't bother reviewing it.
  15. The Penguins players/media were certainly giving the Blackhawks a good deal of respect, considering they're the champs and we're the up and comer. Players: Post-Gazette:
  16. That makes no sense. TCU is not going to jump both SEC teams, no matter what happens. An unconvincing win gives a greater chance of both these teams having a rematch in the championship game. That's not gonna happen. Even though this year's SEC is more respected than '06's Big 10, if they didn't give Michigan a rematch against Ohio State, I can't see them giving this loser a rematch. Michigan lost by 3 on the road, dropped to 3rd, then the 2nd place team (USC) lost, and Florida jumped them both just so that a UM/OSU rematch didn't happen.
  17. Verne seems to be losing a step. If he ever had it. Tebow is such a poser. The bible verses on his eye black are really a bit much. Yeah especially when the Bible verse he used says "Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus." OK I made that up, that's just a completely random bible verse
  18. Reminds me of that time Peanut Tillman returned a blocked extra point to the end zone against the Rams on MNF a few years ago. He was going crazy before he realized that you don't get points for returning a blocked XP in the NFL.
  19. Geez, this isn't the Arena League guys...
  20. time to start believing, except you have the packers. The franchise that thought it was time to let their franchise QB go only to see him pop up on their biggest rival (yes they've surpassed the Bears) a year later, likely winning the MVP and beating the Packers twice on the way to a bye week playoff appearance? Yeah, plus I mean we lost to the Bucs. At least the Bulls can't give the Nets their first win too :) Edit: Yes I'd been secretly hoping the Nets win a game for over a week so we don't give it to them...thanks Charlotte.
  21. Yeah but nobody cares about ACC football, so it doesn't matter. You had 4 "title" games today(Not to mention a huge nonconference game in Illinois/Fresno), how do you suggest they scheduled it? Three games today that equal BCS berths. Schedule them at noon, 4pm, 8pm. Easy. Put the ACC game on opposite the Cincy/Pitt game and let the viewers decide How is having Cincy/Pitt opposite the ACC title game any different than having Texas/Nebraska opposite it? I think the point is that Cinci/Pittsburgh was not scheduled as a championship game, it just became a de facto one. So ignoring that game, they still scheduled 2 of their 3 title games at the same time. But my guess is that the Big 12 doesn't care about the ACC running beside it, and the ACC is just happy to have its conference title game on in primetime so it just happened that way.
  22. You might be alone in that. Sounds like a fantastic NC game to me. Although personally I'd love to see Florida vs. TCU for the title.
  23. Good. And yes, this is a big one. I don't know about all the doom and gloom talk though. In the last 8 they are 5-2-1, right? Sure, it's 1-2-1 in the last four, but I don't see any reason to freak out. I do feel like Hossa has regressed a little since the first few games to the point of being invisible. And I'm starting to very much wonder why Kopecky is on this team. He doesn't seem to be able to do anything well. No reason to worry. Only in the NHL can you give your opponents 7 of 8 possible points and still take 3 of your own back (technically you could take up to 5 back). The Hawks weren't going to win every game, so as long as they are still taking ~1/2 the possible points while their slumping they'll be fine.
  24. I wish I could restart this game and just start from the beginning and count how many times the word Tebow is spoken during the broadcast.
