  1. Nick Roach has saved us this year.
  2. This just has the feel of the Bengals/Cardinals games. Should I just turn it off now?
  3. Because the refs are too busy calling defensive offsides on the Bears to notice holding.
  4. And the women's teams.
  5. We gained like 3 yards on that drive despite having a 1st down.
  6. 3rd and 21 we got this
  7. I love how the Bears put 8 in the box and Grant runs to the end zone untouched.
  8. Might as well add the Bulls in there. Yay Chicago sports.
  9. LOL, good start Bears 3 and out then give up a 62 yard TD run on the first defensive play.
  10. FTFY Booo. We didn't get all that far as a franchise, but there were a lot of great moments this decade. I'm not saying it was awesome or anything, but it certainly wasn't a decade to forget. Unfortunately, the end of the decade leaves a horrible taste in our mouths.
  11. You are correct. Although when we were mostly healthy, we were pretty much even in the first game of the season, although sample size is sample size. GB has gotten better since then, meanwhile we only played with our star MLB for one half of that game. You are right though, anything can happen in Bears/Packers. That said, GB will win easily. The Bears haven't won a game against a team that isn't among the worst 3 teams in football since the first week of October.
  12. Did they show the voting yet? I'm interested to see where everyone finished.
  13. Thanks for posting this because theres no way I would have turned this on if not for it, and I'm greatly enjoying this.
  14. At this point I think he's been watching basketball for about three years. There is no way you can argue Purdue over any of that other four. I don't know as much about the other schools, but I know that Illinois hasn't been playing as long as Purdue. Yet we have, more wins, a better winning percentage, more final fours, more big ten tourny titles. Plus since World War two we have more Big Ten regular season titles. All of that and I would have us about 3rd or 4th in Big Ten history. I would think his argument would rest solely on winning the most Big Ten titles of any team, but as I pointed out above, 13 of their 21 titles happened before 1940, meaning they were back in the days where teams would try to hold the ball for the entire half with a 16-15 lead because there was no shot clock. MSU, UM, Illinois, and OSU all have more Big 10 titles since 1940 than Purdue does.
  15. TD Montana! Screw you App State! (yes I'm still bitter)
  16. Purdue National Champs: 1 (1932) Final Fours: 2 (1969, 1980) Big Ten Titles: 21 (13 prior to 1940) NIT Titles: 1 (1974) Big Ten Tournament Champs: 1 (2009) Michigan State National Champs: 2 (1979, 2000) Final Fours: 7 Big Ten Titles: 11 (all after 1940) NIT Titles: 0 Big Ten Tournament Champs: 2 (1999, 2000) Michigan National Champs: 1 (1989) Final Fours: 6 (4 "official") Big Ten Titles: 14 (12 "official", 10 after 1940) NIT Titles: 2 (1997, 2004) Big Ten Tournament Champs: 1 (1998 - over Purdue!) Illinois National Champs: 1 (1915) Final Fours: 5 Big Ten Titles: 17 (12 after 1940) NIT Titles: 0 Big Ten Tournament Champs: 2 (2003, 2005) Ohio State National Champs: 1 (1960) Final Fours: 10 (9 "official") Big Ten Titles: 19 (14 "official", 16 after 1940) NIT Titles: 2 (1986, 2008) Big Ten Tournament Champs: 2 (1 "official" 2002, 2007) But yeah, lets make sure Purdue and Indiana stay in separate divisions because it would be stupid to put so much prestige in one division.
  17. In 2008 Bradley was an extremely productive player. Career wise he has only been above average. Yeah dude, extremely productive. He was only 16th on his team in VORP last year, between Aaron Heilman and Esmailin Caridad (I am not sure if pitchers VORP and hitting VORP can be compared and ranked against one another but whatever) If OPSing .999 isn't extremely productive, I have no idea what is. How would you define extremely productive? i think umfan confused 2008 for 2009 I did. Whoopsies. Bradley was extremely good in 2008 when healthy. But for whatever reasons he was a below average player in 09.
  18. I'd call this a bad loss because the Hawks are better than this team, and they lucked out by not having to face their workhorse goalie who is one of the top 3 keepers in the league and starts almost every game. You have to take advantage of these games with Nashville right on our heels. We played a sloppy game and because of that got an L. I don't mind per say that the Hawks are slipping a bit because I know they are better than this, I just wish they would have picked another time when all my sports teams weren't getting blown out almost every game they play (Bulls, Bears, DePaul, Michigan hoops/football). I rely on the Hawks to keep me from quitting sports entirely.
  19. And 3-4-1 assuming we don't come back in this one.
  20. This offense has sucked ever since Hossa joined the team (save his first game back against SJ). Not pinning it on him at all, just a coincidence the team has been struggling to get goals since he came aboard.

  22. it's seriously pissing me off. i dont understand why goalies do this so often against us I think part of the reason we rack up so many SOG is because our strategy is to fire everything possible on net and clog the crease hoping for a rebound, as opposed to looking for quality shots. But still you throw enough out there and something has to give. Edit: I should say though that this isn't the case today so far...the shots we're gotten were really good looks, we've just been unable to get one by Lalime
  23. Like 40 good chances on that PP, but no goals. Did I mention Lalime has only played in 4 games this year, only 1 in the last 6 weeks, and has a GAA over 4.5?
  24. Wow Lalime just made like 4 fantastic saves in a row. It'd better not be another game like Wednesday's game. Edit: The Sabres have spent the first 10 minutes of the game trying to clear the puck out of their zone haha
  25. Hawks playing really well so far. They have :90 seconds of 4-on-3 action coming up
