  1. Haha, the bozos at ESPN.com replaced the Blackhawks at number 1 in the power rankings with...............the Sharks, the very team the Hawks demolished on their home ice just 5 days ago. I know since that point the Hawks only took 1 of 4 points over the weekend, and the Sharks won 2 games in a row, but still, how can you drop the number 1 team out of the top spot and replace them with with a team the number 1 team destroyed on their home ice that same week.
  2. On today’s pregame show on the Score, Hub clarified this point, saying that it wasn’t multiple free agent coaches but one in particular – former Steelers Head Coach Bill Cowher. The Bears have denied the report, but Hub stands by the story and calls his source impeccable.
  3. "I think they mean kick returner"
  4. Boston has been linked to Halladay, Gonzalez and Ramirez this offseason. Why aren't the Cubs ever linked to big names? I realize that we're not in a position to trade for a high priced player this offseason, but still.
  5. It would be really hilarious if Angelo was fired less than a year after trading for Jay Cutler and being the toast of the town. I've never seen a GM treated so well in this town than after Angelo made that trade. People on sports radio were sucking up to him left and right.
  6. Peterson is averaging almost 5 yards a carry and is 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards with 999. He's also 2nd in the NFL in rushing TDs with 11. I'd say he's definitely doing more than just doing his job.
  7. With an OL such as the Vikings the Bears are easily 7 - 4 if not better. The OL has been extremely inconsistent with run blocking all year. Teams are still stacking fronts against them and a lot of times Adrian isn't patient enough. But they've still not given him a lot of room to run. Pass protection has been very good since the first couple games though. From the Bears perspective it's different in terms of what you would want, but of those 5 groups you could probably make the case that the OL has performed the worst of the bunch this year. Which speaks to how awful the Bears O-line is that I would still take the Vikings O-line over those other 4 positions
  8. Because Rod Marinelli is like the most amazing coach ever and he can turn an 87 year old grandma into a pass rushing king...err queen. After the first three games the Bears had a really good pass rush (second in the league). I thought Marinelli was the difference. Angelo must have thought he could turn him around. I thought he was making a difference, but then I realized that the Packers O-line is awful, the Steelers O-line is average at best, and the Seahawks o-line had some injuries.
  9. CSN's postgame poll is a good one: If you could take 1 position from the Viknigs (and give it to the Bears), what would you take? a) O-line b) D-line c) QB d) RB e) WR/TE I could easily hear arguments becuase it's close in my mind, but here's my picks in order of desire: 1. O-line 2. D-line 3. RB ----------------Big gap 4. QB 5. WR/TE

  11. How can we even make improvements with no draft picks? Of course even if we had draft picks, we've proven to be unable to draft the correct players. We can buy a few FAs, but how many FAs that are legit building blocks are out there every year? A handful at most, and the best are probably going to be out of the Bears price range. I'm not liking the Adams trade. That guy seriously needs to hit the weight room in the offseason. Alex Brown goes down for over a quarter of the game and not once do I hear Gaines Adams name mentioned. What was the damn point of that trade? Waste a 2nd round pick on maybe the 8th most important position we needed improvement at. And it's arguable whether the player we got will ever be an improvement or be worth a 2nd round pick. I wish we could have moved Curtis Enis for a 2nd round pick 2 years into his failure Well I think they are planning on losing Adewale. It must have been a trade for next year. But the way Adams is playing, Mark Anderson is better. Is Favre right up there in the MVP voting with Manning and Brees? Again, even if you remove Ogunleye from this team (even when they were 3-1, which is what they were when they made the trade), I can easily think of about 8 different places they needed improvement from before DE. They actually have at least somewhat average replacements for Ogun, or at least 1 (anderson). And it's not like the needs of their team weren't glaring when they were 3-1. It was pretty obvious this team was lacking in certain areas from the first game of the season on. They knew they didn't have a 1st, and they knew Adams did almost nothing so far in the NFL. So why the hell did he make that move?
  12. This is hilarious, Lovie is talking like twice as fast as he normally does, but he is still saying the same "Loviespeak" that he is notorious for. I think him talking super fast is a sign he's pissed off. For those wondering, he was quoted as saying that there's a lot of football left still and that they need to treat the rest of the season like the playoffs.

  14. I remember after the 2007 season, everyone wanted the Bears to go after Alan Faneca as a FA. The Bears showed zero interest in him and he went to the Jets to continue his run of being a very good offensive lineman. I often wonder how the look of this Bears team would chance if we had went after him and signed him. I know it's just 1 piece but it's a big one that changes some FA signings and a 1st round draft pick, all of which have been epic failures.

  16. First downs: Minnesota 31, Chicago 8 Plays run: Minnesota 83, Chicago 38 Total yards: Minnesota 537, Bears 169 Passing yards: Minnesota 378, Chicago 126 Rushing yards: Minnesota 159, Chicago 43 Time of possession: Minnesota 40:55, Chicago 19:05 2nd half first downs: Minnesota A Lot, Chicago 0 Turnovers: Minnesota 1, Chicago 3 3rd down: Minnesota 12-18, Chicago 2-8 Complete domination
  17. Final time of possession is something around 41-19 in favor of minnesota. How do you let a team more than double up your TOP?
  18. "Look, there's still a lot of football left this year. We are nearing the end of the 3rd quarter. Obviously we haven't played how I know we're capable of playing, but there is still another quarter left to play this year. For us, the playoffs have started already, and we need to treat each game as a playoff game if we want to get to the playoffs. We'll work hard this week and get ready for the Rams next week."
  19. OK, Fox is saying 12 plays +2 yards for the Bears this half...I think I was counting the 5 yard penalty on the Bears FG "drive"
  20. Bears defense has allowed their most yards in a game since 1982. The Bears have been blown out by more, but this is by far their worst played game of the year and that's saying a lot.
  21. Bears possessions this half: 4 plays, -12 yards 3 plays, 9 yards 3 plays, 3 yards 3 plays, -3 yards Total: 13 plays, -3 yards in the second half.
  22. Time to establish the run
  23. The Vikings have run 75 plays on offense.....the Bears 35
  24. What's worse.... Anger or apathy?
  25. Minnesota is leading TOP roughly 30 minutes to 15 minutes
