  1. Nice Kane/Toews embrace caught on camera
  2. WHAT A PLAY ON THE EMPTY NETTER!!!
  3. I'M assuming Canada would win the pool if they won in ot since they won the h2h despite tying the us in points
  4. Keith with an assist and now it's time to sweat.
  5. I guess I can excuse his red wings affiliation for the rest of the olympics. Go rafalski! If the blackhawks had Ryan miller the only question would be how many games it would take the hawks to complete their cup run.
  6. NBC wasn't shy about it. They have ice dancing to show, and women watch the olympics more than men. That's the reasoning. yeah that's what I meant by different demographics. It's so funny how girls are so into it. My gf comes home and watches it and starts talking to me about it all proud of herself for being into a sport and then gets mad when i tell her I don't give a crap.
  7. I just discovered that comcast apparently doesn't carry msnbc HD in my area. I not used to watching hockey in sd. I forgot how hard it can be to follow. I think people who watch hockey in HD watch it differently because they can see more of the ice. I know the rest of the Olympic events draw different demographics than hockey would but USA vs. Canada is not on the main network?
  8. The curse of Antwan Jamison
  9. He's probably still getting his visa to play in the US like so many players seem to have.
  10. So?
  11. I'm setting my expectations on the lower side to keep my disappointment low. I'd love for him to do better but if he can give us Jason Marquis numbers (4.50 ERA, 1.35 WHIP) I'll live with it.
  12. He's not always as bad as he was tonight. That was some awful basketball by him tonight. He passed up several open guys in order to try to score over 3 guys in the lane as you said. At one point, Kirk put his hands up angry that Deng blatantly ignored him (Deng was looking in his direction before turning around and putting up a contested shot). To his credit, he's probably the teams second best scorer and he's been effective getting shots in the lane lately.
  13. The 2009-2010 Chicago Bulls: The only team that can win in Cleveland and lose at home against New Jersey (or in Minnesota).
  14. Zambrano is a pedestrian now? I don't think he's implying that seeing as how Zambrano doesn't have a new pitch, he's just relying more on a pitch he thinks he was more successful with in the past.
  15. The White Sox are one of MLB's most storied franchises?
  16. Hmm...that's interesting. For anyone too lazy to read, this concludes that his cutter is actually his most effective pitch. It speculates that possibly this pitch could cause Z more arm strain, or that it's possible this pitch is hit the hardest when he makes a mistake, but the numbers undeniably suggest that the cutter is his best pitch.
  17. Can't you just try getting through twice for singles? Yeah, but I couldn't get past the high transaction volume page for 20 minutes so I'm giving up. I didn't even really want to spend $60 a ticket anyways. If I wait a day or two before opening day I'll find some for like $30 a ticket.
  18. How many should i try to resevre? 2 but I don't think it's possible anymore
  19. Dammit nevermind, Bleachers is down to singles for opening day. Gonna get shut out for the 2nd year in a row. Going to have to goto the aftermarket if I want to go to my 7th Opening Day in a row...blah
  20. I've been trying for 20 minutes and can't get past the "High transaction error" page. If anyone can get bleachers to opening day please pm me.
  21. There's like nothing left. Only singles for just about every seat on opening day and 6/12 White Sox and I got in 4 minutes after 10
  22. I have no intention to rip on the South, but this is a pretty funny statement due to the fact that the South has the worst 5-6 states in terms of lowest average IQ.
  23. I think this is pretty interesting news. Z says that he wants to primarily stick with the sinker, and stop throwing his cutter, which he has always had control issues with. Obviously the sinker was always apart of Z's repertoire, but he relied on it much more back in 2003-2004, when he got a lot of ground ball outs and was obviously a much more effective pitcher. I don't recall hearing why he went away from using it primarily, or why he didn't consider this earlier, but it will be interesting to see what happens because of it. Obviously relying on his sinker isn't going to bring back 2004 Zambrano, but it might help him control his walks and lower his pitch count, making him a more effective pitcher. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-0219-cubs-chicago-spring-training-20100218,0,2502657.story
  24. The Bulls are still a better spot then NY, imo. the knicks can now afford 2 max free agents, the bulls can only afford 1 We already have a "max fa" in Rose so we don't need 2. In fact, Rose, Noah and Deng are better than any incumbent players on the Knicks roster (assuming David Lee is gone). So even if the Knicks lets say get Bosh and then try to sign Wade, we can counter by having Rose Noah and Deng. I'm not saying the latter two are all stars, but they both look to be very good rotation pieces on a contending team.
