  1. I don't want to see anyone murdered.
  2. ugh Buddle
  3. Did I accidently go into the Cubs game thread?
  4. Anyone watching the England-Slovenia game? Is Slovenia getting any chances at all? Any hope for a tie?
  5. Somebody shot that guy from the stands didn't they??
  6. That Nigerian guy is laughing at us.
  7. Wow, I'm going to be reliving that one for the next 4 years...
  8. Borstein is the love child of Boers and Bernstein right? Just checking.
  9. I'm not sure the initial argument about Ricketts needing to be in town is a great one, but this is a worse rebuttal. Who cares about the Nets? We aren't fans of the Nets, so naturally we couldn't care less about where their owner spends his time. Again, who cares? I'm not a Sabres fan. I think your missing the point....which is that it's not exactly unusual for a team owner to not be near the team during the season, and there's no reason for anyone to freak out about it, especially in this day and age.
  10. 45 mins left...
  11. We just can't get that through ball through
  12. I love Howard, but I'm sick of seeing him curse out his teammates whenever there is a shot of him.
  13. Jozy....cmon
  14. I'm waiting for the next time the US "scores" to see how they call it back. *US scores* Ref: Double Red Card, Donovan and Dempsey for kicking the ball too hard.
  15. I can't believe that was called back. I was specifically trying to keep up with who was onside as that play was happening. Not even close. Why are they allowed to screw us like this?
  16. Fast paced so far.
  17. It's all about how you handle it.
  18. We learn from the best. (or what Tarver said)
  19. Possibly but there is probably a pretty good collection of starters out there for trades this deadline, headlined by Cliff Lee and Roy Oswalt. I'm not saying it can't happen, but there are better options out there for good teams, lowering our leverage a bit.
  20. You know, you dont HAVE to watch it. I don't. I usually don't even flip on the game, but tonight I did because it makes good background noise to hear Len and Bob.
  21. Man this offense is horrific. I miss the 2008 offense when you could feel certain about having an inning where we just kept working the count, kept walking and getting key hits. I assume the Cubs are going to get shutout until they score a run this year.
  22. Yeah, but Jackson is coming off back to back years in which his numbers are right there with the elite WRs in the game (maybe a step behind) . A 2nd rd pick would definately be a better spent pick then the pick spent on Adams. Unless he dies too.
  23. I try not to talk too much about sexuality here, though I think most people know by now I'm gay. This story is really one of the most significant Chicago sports stories, for me personally, that I can recall in a long time. I am so proud to be a fan of both the Cubs and the Blackhawks right now. I'm not going to pretend that there's a chance that every player on both teams is comfortable with homosexuality, but the fact that the organization wants to participate in this and that some players are willing if not excited to do so says a lot about the progress we've made. That said, the pride parade isn't my cup of tea. I hope they have fun. I agree this is a great thing for both teams to do. However as a Cubs fan in STL I can only imagine some of the "jokes" I'll hear about this. Confirming the ignorance of STL fans. Not that we needed that confirmation. This is a cool thing. I'm glad both teams are doing it. I can definitely see Kaner getting tanked and dancing half-naked to club music on one of the floats. I could be wrong but I think I read that only Sopel and his family will represent the actual team in terms of players.
  24. I wonder if they expect Chris Pronger to attend. But in all seriousness, that's awesome. That article also says the Cubs will have a float at the parade too. (*note to mods: this is not me calling Chris Pronger gay, it is in reponse to this http://outsports.com/jocktalkblog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/pronger_gay.jpg)
