Didn't a similar thing happen with Golden State and Amare a year ago?

Man I didn't realize Italy going out puts Slovakia on our side of the bracket. So far of the 5 other teams in the bracket, the Netherlands is the only team I'd think the USA has no shot against. Too bad the other 2 teams likely to be on this side of the bracket are Brazil and potentially Spain.

First: WE don't know what the deal, but GarPax do (I know duh right), and I pretty sure the deal is as firm as it can be right now. If the Bulls did not want this deal would not have made this deal. Second: The Bulls have been shopping Hinrich around the league for nearly 2 year, so I you can guess that this deal is prolly the best deal they could get, and they took it. I really don't see a better deal coming around for Hinrich. Well at this point, this WAS the best deal the Bulls could get for Hinrich because their main intention in trading him was to rid themselves of his salary. And with this trade, they got rid of 100% of his salary. Great deal for the Bulls.

Max or near max FA I would live with: 1. LeBron James 2. Dwayne Wade 3. Chris Bosh 4. Carlos Boozer 5. Amare Stoudemire 6. David Lee 7. Joe Johnson 8. Rudy Gay Am I missing anyone. There will be some disapointments but theres also a 2nd tier of FAs too.

I've loved the few people who still insist on mentioning that they think soccer is stupid when they see me in my world cup craze. Hey guy, I couldn't give a s. I used to concern myself with things like "why don't people like soccer?" or "how can I get more people to like soccer?" but now I don't care. We're a large enough community to matter on a global scale, our players are good enough to matter on a global scale and everyone who isn't on board now is just missing out. I can only imagine how exciting this would be for a new fan who just now discovered this US team. For a real sports fan, it's gotta be like hearing Bob Dylan or Wu Tang for the first time. It's just awesome. Agreed. I really could care less about how big soccer is in the US anymore. I'm sick of seeing tons of articles written about it everywhere. Every 4 years, its the same crappy recycled stories. To be truthful, soccer really will become big when people stop questioning its popularity. If you are a journalist and a soccer fan, good write about it. If you don't like soccer, that's fine just ignore it. Also you are right, the US fans brought the most people out of any country to SA. Maybe our whole country doesn't stop what they are doing for a US world cup game, but the US has a huge fanbase and it makes itself known. I see people in the streets wearing USA jerseys on game day, I hear the same people who jumped on the blackhawks bandwagon a few weeks ago talk about where they are going to watch the game. Girls too. It's popular enough that I don't give a [expletive] anymore. I know I'm not as hardcore as US and soccer10k and the rest of the frequent posters in the soccer thread, but I consider myself more than a casual fan. And as that, I take a ton of pride in seeing this team play like it has.

To Vancouver though? Ugh. I would love having 3 first round picks, 2 second round picks and a couple of young prospects though.

I don't think it's a good deal at all for them. As much as I appreciate Buff's play in the playoffs this year I don't think theres anyway I'd give up a 1st round pick for him (even with the other 3). I certainly wouldn't give up a 1st and essentially two 2nds for them. I think they got robbed.
