  1. This is BS. The Hawks had Lu down and possession of the puck after a couple of players crashed down near the net, and the refs randomly called the play dead claiming that the goal moved, when no such thing happened. A couple of over seconds later, a Nucks player had a slapshot allowed when the puck was clearly over the blue line for an offsides. Also remember that earlier in this game the Canucks were awarded a goal that shouldnt have counted and the Hawks had a goal disallowed that should have counted. Something screwy is going on here...
  2. So much for that. Tied up on a Nucks PP. Hawks bad PK is rearing its head again.
  3. Dammit on not being able to score with 48 seconds of 2 man advantage. 5 minutes of power play over the last 6-7 minutes of game time without a goal overall. Still got the lead tho. Just would have been nice to extend it before intermission because I don't think 2 gaols is gonna win this one
  4. I'm not in favor of it, but he had a pretty good game against Vancouver earlier this year. That has to be the only reasoning as to why he's starting tonight. Crawford has been ok, but I don't think he's been anything special. Not like Niemi last year. I think its fair to give Turco a few starts to see if he can be better than how he started the year.
  5. Sorry, I meant respective to their defensive win shares and respective to their ranking on the team. Yeah, outside the top 25 is not very low at all, however doesn't seem right that Deng is the 6th best defender on the team behind players like Boozer.
  6. Interesting, considering how much praise Deng and Rose have been getting for their defense, that they are so low in defensive rating, and 2 people that we've been ripping on for defense, Boozer and Korver, are rated higher than expected. The defensive win shares rankings I knew about, and maybe I am a homer but I trust the one where Deng and Rose are in the top ten over the one where Boozer is in hte top 5.
  7. Why does it suck? Did you really let 3 months with the Cubs change your thinking of him? He was a douche before he came to the Cubs, a douche as a Cub (that hit a lot of home runs, so thanks for that you douchebag) and is a douche today. If you liked him because he came to the Cubs to spite the Cardinals, that's even sillier, because he basically just used the Cubs as a pawn in his petty little sissy fight with Larussa. We benefitted from that, so, great.
  8. Big game tonight. I enjoy beating the Nucks so much...please let us continue to do so.
  9. He also made two TD throws (Knox looked like he was in but was ruled out at the 1 and they ran it in the next play) that Cutler would have had to account for. Plus, Cutler is more than capable of throwing his own pick sixes. You really think a healthy Cutler doesn't give them a better chance to win the rest of that game over Hanie even with how crappy he looked in the first? I'm not buying that either. During the game, I was the eternal optimist. Just get a score here, get a stop here, go down and score and we'll be okay. And Cutler kept disappointing in the first half. But I still thought he would turn it around, and I think the Bears would have been in a much better position to pull it out if he had stayed in, er, been able to stay in. This is random because I was looking at his 2010 splits to see if Cutler's stats were better in the 2nd half of games vs. the first half (they aren't). But I noticed something odd. Cutler performed drastically better in the 2nd quarter than the other 3 quarters. 1st quarter: 60.2% comp%, 7.3 YPA, 4 TD, 4 INT, 79.3 RAT 2nd quarter: 63.8% comp%, 8.5 YPA, 9 TD, 3 INT, 101.7 RAT 3rd quarter: 60.0% comp%, 7.4 YPA, 5 TD, 5 INT, 78.8 RAT 4th quarter: 57.7% comp%, 6.6 YPA, 5 TD, 4 INT, 77.7 RAT Of course, those numbers don't mean anything, as the year before his best quarter was the 3rd, the year before it was the 4th, the year before that the 1st.
  10. Signing Salmons was such a bad move. Signing Gooden was a really bad idea too (5 years!?). I don't think a team like the Bucks can afford to make mistakes like those two and overcome them. Then again, you are getting a huge deal off the books this offseason with Redd. Speaking of, is he ever going to play again? Sometimes I forget he exists.
  11. Oh, I thought he was asking if Cutler they left Cutler in the game despite being hurt, would they have won? Cutler obviously gave them the best chance to win if he was healthy despite his poor performance up to that point. There were multiple games this year where Cutler had a bad first quarter/first half and made adjustments and turned the game around in the 2nd half.
  12. Why do the Bucks suck this year? Overachieved last year? Underachieving this year? Injuries? Players tune out Skiles already?
  13. They don't need to read my explanation, they just need to see the video and have a basic knowledge of NBA rules. It was a bad call and shouldn't have been a foul. Do you agree that there are multiple rebound opportunities every game where players have more blatant pushoffs or go over the back more than that play and are not called? I think it's an easy call to make, and there was no reason for Boozer to have his hand on the other player's back, and keep it there during the rebound jump. If he goes up with two hands there, it doesn't get called. I also think a large part of why fans thought it was a terrible call was the reaction by Stacey King and Neil Funk, and Funk probably thought one of the players was Tyson Chandler. And Stacey King thinks Derrick Rose gets fouled every possession before he passes half court. UM make sure to post all those clips for us to analyze too  I don't even think I had the volume up when I was watching the game last night.
  14. Pretty obvious Pierce, Garnett, Rondo, Bosh, Horford and Smith would get picked. Allen was kind of up in the air, but probably the best backup SG in the East at this point. Actually it was Joe Johnson, not smith who was the other Hawk chosen.
  15. The NBA All Star teams were leaked (will be announced in 10 minutes). 4 Celtics, a 3rd heat player, 2 hawks players were chosen.
  16. you are obsessed with me. please stop it, it's starting to scare me. you need at least 10,000 posts to start obsessing other NSBB members.

  18. Which I explained, he jumped, the ball went farther than he anticipated and he tried to bend backwards to get to it. From the position they are both in on the picture above, I see no way Boozer is able to shove a player who is already in the process of jumping, and then jump himself to secure the rebound. you're deluding yourself or you're just being dumb, then, i guess. Or you don't agree with me and cannot explain your point well enough so your only other option is to call me dumb. You've explained your side, I've explained mine and theres no way to prove one way or another. So in a way I applaud your unconventional way of ending the argument.
  19. Which I explained, he jumped, the ball went farther than he anticipated and he tried to bend backwards to get to it. From the position they are both in on the picture above, I see no way Boozer is able to shove a player who is already in the process of jumping, and then jump himself to secure the rebound. Edit: Plus, when Boozer jumps, he is jumping backward to get the ball. It's fairly difficult to push someone one way while jumping backwards the other way.
  20. Even if it doesn't look as if he pushed off, he still has an obvious hand on the opponent's back, and extends his arm when he jumps backwards for the rebound. There's no reason for Boozer not to go up with both hands there. http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4338/flop.png In this I see the following things, 1) Boozer's arm is almost completely extended while 2) at the same time Jordan shows no signs of being pushed as his back is straight and he is in the process of making a jump. 3) the ball is already well over the head of Jordan and heading right to where Boozer will jump immediately after this frame. Probably pretty dumb to go frame by frame, but this is what I saw when the play originally happened. The foul immediately stood out to me as awful, but I wouldn't have thought much of it until that 2nd foul happened minutes later.
  21. Admittedly I've only seen Bulls fan comments on it, but I have seen no one else that considers the first video to be a pushoff. He has his hand on the guy, but the ball goes directly to Boozer. He didn't need or use any sort of push off to secure the rebound IMO. There are probably 20 rebound opportunities with more behind the back contact than that in every NBA game. To me this is what I see: Jordan has the better rebounding position on Boozer, he actually takes a step forward when the shot goes up and times his jump. The shot hits off the rim harder than expected and Jordan tries to arch his body backwards in a weak attempt to make up for his bad positioning for the ball. Boozer mainly just stands there, jumps and secures the rebound. I don't think its a conspiracy or anything. I just think it was a badly missed call.
  22. Well, it depends on when he got hurt. Supposedly the new belief is he got hurt on the first play of the 2nd quarter. And while he wasn't great in the 1st, he was better than his performance in the 2nd. But no, we probably don't win the gmae if he stays in. And then the media virtually ignores his injury in order to rip him relentlessly for not being a big game player. It was a no win situation, so honorably he made the decision that benefited the team the most. What a selfish turd.
  23. You are ineligible for any NSBB awards until you pick your desired 2010 World Series matchup.
  24. Instead of no Saturday night games, there will be exclusively Saturday night games (after sunset).
  25. I made a video last night about those 2 questional Boozer "foul" calls in the 4th quarter last night if anyone is interested in seeing how bad the calls were. The first video is one of the 5 worst foul calls I've ever seen. The 2nd one, I guess you could claim to have seen a pushoff. It would be incorrect but I can see how a ref would be deceived into thinking that. - first foul - second foul
