  1. The NBA All Star teams were leaked (will be announced in 10 minutes). 4 Celtics, a 3rd heat player, 2 hawks players were chosen.
  2. you are obsessed with me. please stop it, it's starting to scare me. you need at least 10,000 posts to start obsessing other NSBB members.
  3. They don't need to read my explanation, they just need to see the video and have a basic knowledge of NBA rules. It was a bad call and shouldn't have been a foul. Do you agree that there are multiple rebound opportunities every game where players have more blatant pushoffs or go over the back more than that play and are not called?
  4. Which I explained, he jumped, the ball went farther than he anticipated and he tried to bend backwards to get to it. From the position they are both in on the picture above, I see no way Boozer is able to shove a player who is already in the process of jumping, and then jump himself to secure the rebound. you're deluding yourself or you're just being dumb, then, i guess. Or you don't agree with me and cannot explain your point well enough so your only other option is to call me dumb. You've explained your side, I've explained mine and theres no way to prove one way or another. So in a way I applaud your unconventional way of ending the argument.
  5. Which I explained, he jumped, the ball went farther than he anticipated and he tried to bend backwards to get to it. From the position they are both in on the picture above, I see no way Boozer is able to shove a player who is already in the process of jumping, and then jump himself to secure the rebound. Edit: Plus, when Boozer jumps, he is jumping backward to get the ball. It's fairly difficult to push someone one way while jumping backwards the other way.
  6. Even if it doesn't look as if he pushed off, he still has an obvious hand on the opponent's back, and extends his arm when he jumps backwards for the rebound. There's no reason for Boozer not to go up with both hands there. http://img225.imageshack.us/img225/4338/flop.png In this I see the following things, 1) Boozer's arm is almost completely extended while 2) at the same time Jordan shows no signs of being pushed as his back is straight and he is in the process of making a jump. 3) the ball is already well over the head of Jordan and heading right to where Boozer will jump immediately after this frame. Probably pretty dumb to go frame by frame, but this is what I saw when the play originally happened. The foul immediately stood out to me as awful, but I wouldn't have thought much of it until that 2nd foul happened minutes later.
  7. Admittedly I've only seen Bulls fan comments on it, but I have seen no one else that considers the first video to be a pushoff. He has his hand on the guy, but the ball goes directly to Boozer. He didn't need or use any sort of push off to secure the rebound IMO. There are probably 20 rebound opportunities with more behind the back contact than that in every NBA game. To me this is what I see: Jordan has the better rebounding position on Boozer, he actually takes a step forward when the shot goes up and times his jump. The shot hits off the rim harder than expected and Jordan tries to arch his body backwards in a weak attempt to make up for his bad positioning for the ball. Boozer mainly just stands there, jumps and secures the rebound. I don't think its a conspiracy or anything. I just think it was a badly missed call.
  8. Well, it depends on when he got hurt. Supposedly the new belief is he got hurt on the first play of the 2nd quarter. And while he wasn't great in the 1st, he was better than his performance in the 2nd. But no, we probably don't win the gmae if he stays in. And then the media virtually ignores his injury in order to rip him relentlessly for not being a big game player. It was a no win situation, so honorably he made the decision that benefited the team the most. What a selfish turd.
  9. You are ineligible for any NSBB awards until you pick your desired 2010 World Series matchup.
  10. Instead of no Saturday night games, there will be exclusively Saturday night games (after sunset).
  11. I made a video last night about those 2 questional Boozer "foul" calls in the 4th quarter last night if anyone is interested in seeing how bad the calls were. The first video is one of the 5 worst foul calls I've ever seen. The 2nd one, I guess you could claim to have seen a pushoff. It would be incorrect but I can see how a ref would be deceived into thinking that. - first foul - second foul
  12. Until they bolt Cleveland at their first opportunity again.
  13. This totally is another Bartman. Because of the initial reaction, the media will for years talk about how we all hate Cutler because we all think he quit on the team. Just like to this day people talk about how Cubs fans will never forgive Bartman for that fateful night, when 99% of us could care less about Bartman
  14. You would have to think that most of that is because a lot of people bought season tickets to rally around the team (I don't know if this is true or not, I don't care enough to look.) and at this point they own the tickets and have said [expletive] it. Plus, this team is becoming historically bad so there is a little intrigue. I would think that attendance would plummet next year. I'm pretty sure that season ticket holders had to re-up before LeBron announced where he would go which, if true, would obviously be a big factor in the attendance figures this year. Yup, that's correct. To their credit from what I've heard they've attended the games (meaning no paper sellouts, they are actually going to the games) and the crowds have been really vocal. But I don't think they can sustain that attendance with such a terrible unwatchable team in an economically depressed market. The year before LeBron got there, they averaged 11,000 a game.
  15. I actually kind of agree. The fact that the Cavs had a hometown superstar and the kind of once a generation player and he didn't even stay, makes me wonder if Cleveland is ever going to be able to compile enough talent to win a championship. Furthermore, the Cavs had this player and a 60 win team, and they couldnt recruit any stars to sign with Cleveland as a FA. It would have been like a guaranteed championship if they could have added a player like Bosh but he wanted no part of Cleveland. The only way they could compete for a title again is to build an OKC roster (which is probably the only way OKC could have gotten a legitimate contender) where they have one megastar, one superstar and several other good players all drafted in a 3-5 year span and meshes together quickly. Otherwise, they are just going to make high draft picks and have them leave as soon as they have a chance. I respect the Cleveland fans, and they certainly deserve an NBA team, but I'm not sure if its gonna work out.
  16. annnnnd they lost again. Getting closer though! 22 losses in a row, 1 off the single season record (the Cavs back in the early 80's lost 24 in a row over 2 seasons). I am enjoying the fact that the Cavs are 1-32 over their last 33 games, and the 1 win in that span is against the Knicks.
  17. lol did anyone see Rich Rodriguez interviewing Brady Hoke about Michigan's recruiting class? All sorts of awkward... http://www.freep.com/article/20110202/SPORTS06/110202039/With-video-Rich-Rodriguez-interviews-Brady-Hoke-CBS-show
  18. 'My girlfriend is a huge Bengals fan, hates the Steelers with a passion as most Bengals fans do, and has also always hated Jay Cutler because of his "attitude" in interviews. I just asked her who she thinks is a better person, Jay Cutler or Ben Rothlisburger and she [expletive] said Ben. I reminded her that Ben is a rapist, and she said 'well yeah but he's probably a better person'. How? When has Jay done anything close to raping someone? Ugh
  19. I feel like everytime we play Columbus, the score is like 6-4
  20. Geez, sometimes its so hard to watch that 3rd defensive pairing out there allow a crappy opponent to spend 2-3 minutes straight in their zone without the Hawks getting a stick on it. And then they do take control and immediately Leddy throws a lazy pass that goes right back to the Blue Jackets without leaving the zone.
  21. Coincidentally, more often than not, Turco is starting when that happens.
  22. Pretty much an uninspired season for the Hawks.
  23. That's not true. I believe Charlottes pick was traded away last year and you can't trade your first round pick 2 years in a row (the Isiah Thomas rule) so the earliest that Charlotte pick can come to us is the 2012 draft. The reasoning above might nit be 100% accurate but I'm about 95% sure that we can't have Charlottes first rounder this year under any circumstances. Edit: from NBAdraft.net:
  24. classy guy! Classy or stupid?
  25. It's an Ex-Sox and Ex-Cub list. I know, I was just teasing. Technically he is an ex-chicagoan that plays for NY :) Blue Islander IIRC But he went to UIC. I say that qualifies
