  1. Turnover in their own zone and the Blues score 17 seconds into the game....unbelievable.
  2. Nice. There have been what seems like a million huge games for the Hawks this year. This game is another huge one. If the win this they are at worst 2 points up with 2 to go, and 2 points in the 2 Red Wings games would clinch at least a tie. If we lose this, we probably need 3 or 4 points to even go for a tie, and at the very minimum one of those games HAS to be a regulation win. So basically if we win tonight, I'd put our odds at 85%, if we lose maybe down to 30%
  3. Oh well....take away dempster starts and a rare blown save by Marmol we are undefeated.
  4. lol boo your best hitter so far this year.
  5. How are Tyco's stats against lefties? I am assuming that's what's happening right now.
  6. Now do that 3 more times, rest of Cubs lineup. The Diamondbacks pen was the worst in baseball last year I believe....we have a chance...
  7. Not sure if this could be a big deal or not, but Turco was caught betting with a fan and exchanging money during last night's game. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/news/story?id=6300103
  8. Have the Cubs switched Wellington Castillo to pitcher yet? Maybe they should try that.
  9. I don't know where this whole thought process comes from that Dallas is guaranteed their last 6 points. This a team that has won 8 games since February 1. Yeah, their schedule (vs Colorado, @ Colroado, @ Minnesota) is easy, but it's not automatic. Not 6 more. I said the Hawks need 3 more points to have a shot because Dallas is almost definitely going to get 4 more points in their last 3 games. If they get 4 more points we need 3 to win outright, or 2 points to tie Dallas. And if we are tied, its gonna depend on how Chicago and Dallas get their remaining points. If Dallas gets 2 regulation wins, and Chicago gets 2 SOL, then Dallas gets the playoff spot. If they tie in regulation wins, it goes to points earned H2H, and the Blackhawks immediately lose that one. So realistically, the Hawks probably need to end up with more points than Dallas to make the playoffs. Tonight is a huge game because its the most winnable game left. If the Hawks want to make the playoffs, they should probably get a regulation victory tonight. Also, a win tonight all but eliminates Calgary from consideration. Hawks are 2 points up and a game in hand. If they win tonight, its impossible for Calgary to pass us in points, and we have the tiebreaker locked down between us whether or not the 2 points come in regulation or OT or SO.
  10. Who are the projected starters for Sunday? I'm going to be in attendance. Looks like Wells and Gallardo. That sucks....Gallardo pitched a 2 hit shutout yesterday.
  11. I like the Cubs ever so slightly more than I like the Bulls, but Rose > Castro now and forever.
  12. I agree. Before the homestand, I figured a 4-2 homestand against 2 projected bottom feeders would be acceptable, and we are in position to do just that.
  13. I don't remember that. He did throw that really nice 1 hit shutout though :)
  14. I love how you have to clarify that you are legitimately asking a question. :)
  15. I agree it was a very entertaining game overall
  16. I'm starting to think either the Hawks or Anaheim is going to be the odd team out. Anaheim has LA twice and SJ, the Hawks have Detroit twice and St. Louis tomorrow. They are tied in points and games played, but Anaheim has the tiebreaker locked up over the Hawks. I know I'm being overly pessimistic, but at this point I don't think the Hawks get in unless somehow the Hawks simply play better than they have been. They are going to need probably 3 more points to have any shot. If they win tomorrow that will give us a good chance, only needing to take 1 or 2 from Detroit.
  17. Choking this....take over DRose.
  18. Nothing at all
  19. And the Hawks lose on the PP. The Blackhawks will likely be just 2 points up on the Stars after tonight, and the Stars will likely pull to within 1 regulation win of Chicago. The choke continues. Hawks have scored 1 goal in the last 133 minutes of hockey and lost another key player to injury tonight.
  20. [expletive] Hawks get a penalty called on them approximately 10 seconds after the play happened (the Hawks were controlling the puck the entire time)
  21. Hawks get a point. Doesn't help our tiebreaker with Dallas, but obviously a point and a chance for another is more important.
  22. 20 SOG for the Hawks in the 3rd, and of course 0 goals so far. 2:30 away from a much needed point.
  23. I'm so sick of watching the Hawks shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and nothing goes in.
  24. Corey Crawford has had a fantastic game. It should be like 3-1 Montreal right now. Canucks have had a ton of good looks this period. Reminds me of the 3rd period of the game in Florida. And of course the Montreal goalie is standing on his head right now as well.
  25. Dammit Brouwer looks seriously hurt. We just can't catch a [expletive] break this year. If this is the cost of winning the Cup, that's fine. But still it sucks.
