  1. Really entertaining game so far. Both teams getting good chances and moving the puck really well.
  2. Yup. 3-0 may as well be 30-0 against Halladay. Yeah no team has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit. Oh wait we suck and we're facing Halladay so its allowed to happen. Carry on
  3. I don't think Noah was at the top of his game in that series defensively, but he wasn't as awful as people were suggesting. Offensively yeah.
  4. What other half of the skyline are you talking about? You see the arch and the tall buildings, there's nothing else to see. Can anyone that lives more than 100 miles from St. Louis point out one recognizable building in downtown St. Louis other than the Arch and the city hall building. I've been to St. Louis several times and seen their skyline on a number of occasions, but trying to picture the skyline, all I can visualize is those 2 landmarks and a bunch of generic buildings.
  5. Well it would ultimately depend on the exact deal, but no. But thats because Carmelo is not the guy people claimed he is. Overrated. Maybe a little. But a second scorer alongside Rose sure would've looked good against Miami. Sure but Bosh and LeBron torching us without Noah and Deng in there would have looked not as good. So we lose 4 "105-98" games instead of 4 "88-82" games.
  6. It's a clever idea, but considering renovation is rumored to cost in the hundreds of millions of dollars, I can't see them get more than a couple million back from that. but I guess every little bit helps, and that'd be pretty cool to watch.
  7. Don't jinx them when they still have 1/3 of the way to go.
  8. sure but for who? Noah? I guess that wouldnt be horrible but then who do we replace him with? I realize we gotta get rid of someone to improve the team because outside of Rose, Deng and Noah, there is not a great chance of getting an impact player without having to give up 3-4 combined players from the rest of the roster and draft picks. It's not like we'll be able to give up Asik, Brewer, Bobcats pick, 28th pick and get Monta...right?
  9. I can't see GarPax giving up Deng after what he did last year. Pax has been too protective of his core during his tenure to let that move occur. Plus Deng's defense was a difference maker for the Bulls this year.
  10. aka the wrong side. I know you are going to respond but making some exaggerated sensationalist statement and never actually state your argument because it will be beaten down. Typical SSR
  11. this was such a strnage performance. its the same as his final game with cleveland. yea he had a triple double so you cant say he was bad, but the scoring still wasnt there. 2 points in the quarter? that cant happen. every time he touched the ball in the 4th i felt like he was either going to pass it or force up a contested jumper. Yeah he had a good game overall but come on, 15 points total in 5 Finals games. He can be the facilitator and defender all he wants, but if he can't take over down the stretch at least least once in this series, I cant consider him the best player in the NBA. Most talent? Most physical tools? Scariest player? Sure. Best player? It's not all that clear.
  12. Trust me I see it. I was on the "LeBron is the best player in the NBA and no one else is close" bandwagon before this series started, but I can't keep watching LeBron go passive every 4th quarter and call him that.
  13. And the best player ever scores his first 2 points of the 4th with 30 seconds left
  14. What does his age have to do with it? He's been playing 44 minutes a night for the past two months, destroyed Boston and Chicago (again, on both ends) and has been playing out of his mind on defense in this series. It's not even remotely possible that he doesn't have another gear on offense, can't push it against a really good defender and can instead spend his energy on defense since his awesome teammate is being guarded by a traffic cone? I'm not apologizing for LeBron; I'm just exploring the other myriad possibilities besides him being afraid of "the moment." I guess those scenarios are possible. Maybe my problem is that I hear so many people trying to compare him to Jordan that I do the same and just shake my head laughing at anyone who believes they are in the same stratosphere. It's like Kobe. Kobe is a fantastic player, and obviously I'm biased but I don't see Kobe is the same realm as MJ, when people were openly wondering if Kobe passes MJ by getting his 6th title. Jordan wins out in just about every statistical catergory and would have won the same number of titles, all of them as the leading man. And somehow Kobe is allowed to be in the GOAT discussion? There's just no way.
  15. You act surprised. This is the third straight year people are questioning if he's "the man" or not. So doesn't that make it a semi-legit question to ask then?
  16. That's awesome. He used to sugar coat it so he didn't completely alienate the fans but it looks like their backlash against him made him not care anymore.
  17. I wouldn't say that they'd build for 3-4 seasons from now, but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't make more than a token effort (a la Beltran in 2005) at signing Fielder and Pujols. It's good Ricketts is putting the money where his mouth is. He's gotta improve somehow, and if the draft pans out, our system gets a lot better because of the decision to spend more.
  18. Name a player that averaged more shots per game than Derrick Rose this season. Not that it's the worst thing in the world, but someone who takes more shots than Derrick Rose and has a lower TS% is an interesting choice. I'd take him tho....I think they would both allow each other to take less overall shots each.
  19. Playing out a lot like last years finals except the game 3 blowout. Favored home team wins two very close games and then go on the road and lose the next 2. Hopefully the Canucks don't rebound like the Hawks did.
  20. Haha, stupid reds...couldnt even do what the Astros and Cardinals did.
  21. I completely agree with this argument.
  22. Saying the Celtics MIGHT have won without great play from the best player ever is propping them up? Mediocre LeBron (assuming that is who you are calling best player ever) would have been enough to beat the Celtics. Heck NBA Finals LeBron would have been enough. Fine then use the Heat's thrashing of the Bulls instead. By 11 total points? Edit: Of course I know we got thrashed, and the Celtics lost their series by a similar margin I think, but arguing with you is so fun.

  24. So did he lose the killer instinct after spanking the Bulls? Patrick Ewing had some killer Conference Finals once too.
