  1. That was awesome. It's kind of funny to hear the rivalry the Canada teams have with each other.
  2. The earliest the 2nd round would start is Saturday or Sunday. They sometimes start round 2 on the same day as the last round 1 series are wrapping up.
  3. I don't know. No one ever knows what you're talking about. lol seriously
  4. Career FG%: Westbrook: 42.1% Rose: 46.8% 10-11 FG: Westbrook: 44.2% Rose: 44.5% Career TS%: Westbrook: 50.9% Rose: 53.5% 10-11 TS%: Westbrook: 53.8% Rose: 55.0%
  5. FYI Nick Fridell said that Rose was limping fairly badly when he saw him at the Berto Center today. Just one man's view of what he saw, but I think its pretty clear that Rose isn't going to be in top form tomorrow night. I think we'll see a different game plan in game 5 and expect to place less emphasis on "let Rose do it all" play. I'm starting to think that despite the injury the Bulls will play their best game of the series tomorrow. Hope I'm right.
  6. I love how they are getting behind the 'game 6 was a good thing, we played our best game' mantra. -First of all, I personally think they played better in game 1. -You cannot take losing game 6 as a good thing, no matter how awesome you played. -If anything this series has shown that both teams have taken turns dominating play. The Canucks outplayed us in the first 2 games, the Hawks outplayed them in games 3-5, and Vancouver dominated in game 6. Does that mean you will play as well in game 6 for game 7? Not at all. And yeah that entire thing reads like someone who is dumbfounded this series is still going on, and trying to sound confidence so that he can feel confident. Bottom line in, regardless of how you played in game 6, the net result was that a winner take all game 7 is now occuring. And you could outplay the Hawks in game 7 too, and you could lose again too. You put yourselves in the position where a lucky break, a mental gaffe, a stupid penalty can end your season. There is nothing good about that.
  7. Stop committing penalties then. I have a feeling the Hawks will be on the PK early and often tomorrow. It will have the same effect as the Pacers after game 1 about Derrick Rose.
  8. So much for that....San Jose kills off a 5 minute penalty and wins in OT. If Chicago wins, its CHI/SJ and NAS/DET If Vancouver wins, its NAS/VAN and DET/SJ
  9. I didn't even think about the fact that the Hawks could still face the Wings in the 2nd round should the Hawks win and LA win the series against SJ. SJ is up 3-2, but they are about to goto OT and LA will have 90 seconds of PP to start OT. If Chicago wins and SJ wins... (8) Chicago vs. (2) SJ (3) Detroit vs. (5) Nashville If Chicago wins and LA wins... (8) Chicago vs. (3) Detroit (5) Nashville vs. (7) LA If Vancouver wins and SJ wins... (1) Vancouver vs. (5) Nashville (3) Detroit vs. (2) San Jose If Vancouver wins and LA wins... (1) Vancouver vs. (7) LA (3) Detroit vs. (5) Nashville
  10. Pena, I am starting to hate you. This AB will determine whether I will ever like you.
  11. If the Hawks win the Wings will have a series against a non west coast team in the next round...which would be cool. However, the team that is remaining that I would most like to play is LA, but it is impossible for the Wings to play them. I think the best thing for me is for the Hawks and Sharks to win, then the Hawks beating the Sharks in round 2...with the Wings winning of course. As for knocking out the Presidents Cup winner, I don't really care that much. The Presidents Cup winner is usually the best team in the worst division. Either way, the "not nearlyas scary, still with somewhat of a mental block against Wings" Hawks knocking out a legit strong team like Vancouver would certainly be a good thing for the Red Wings cup chances.
  12. Doesn't help that the manager can't manage the 3-5 spots to save his [expletive] life. What would you change about it? He moved Byrd down, Pena you gotta think will eventually start hitting for power. And hasn't Soto said he prefers to hit 8th? Well today the big issue is having a hitter who has a career .674 OPS against righties hitting 4th for you against a righty. I just looked up his splits to get an exact number...holy crap he has one of the most extreme splits ever. Career .674 against righties, .920 against lefties.
  13. Is Carlos Pena the Boozer of the Cubs, or vice versa?
  14. I am almost positive that no Chicago team has ever successfully come back from a 3-0 or 3-1 series deficit in any sport. One Chicago team blew a 3-1 deficit, but we don't need to discuss that.
  15. Carlos Pena is not very good at baseball anymore.
  16. its the part Asian in them Rob Schneider is part Asian? I guess that makes some of his roles slightly less minstrel show-y. Slightly. Apparently so. I honestly had no idea that Barney was Asian either. Schneider is part Filipino and Barney is part Japanese I believe.
  17. On ESPN1000, they said 3 weeks. Where did you hear 6-8? Big blow as he was having a good series and giving us a physical presence. http://blackhawks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=560987 Says full recovery in 6-8 weeks Seems to be some differing reports: http://www.vancouversun.com/sports/Bieksa+bashing+Blackhawk+Bryan+Bickell+three+weeks/4672563/story.html
  18. send down castro to learn fundamentals; call up whatever 35 year old at iowa has been hot for a week. Can he bring Thomas Diamond with him so we don't have to keep starting Russell?
  19. yeah so let's just pull him from a game when he made an out and three errors. that should do wonders for his confidence, embarrassing him in front of the home crowd. Maybe Quade can run out on the field and chew him out right there. Then that lazy SOB Castro might put a little effort into his defense.
  20. Now that the game has started, I'm guessing they will do everything to get the game in. I'm sure they'd prefer not to have another doubleheader. Also, due to the fact that the weather doesnt look any better the next two days, there is a chance one of the other 2 games gets rained out.
  21. And he's not good vs. RHP, makes no sense LOL, I just assumed that a lefty was starting due to him being in the lineup and at such a important spot in the lineup. Wow.
  22. The 'Nuck fans are completely right to be ticked off about that. While that rule is not new, it was on a Hawks icing call and gave our tired line a chance to recover. Regardless, I'm stoked and I accepted the call from the 300 level to take that tv timeout. Yeah but its the rule, whether it comes on an icing, the goalie covering up the puck or any other stoppage of play. They don't have a right to be pissed at the call. They can be pissed about their unfortunate luck that it happened to come right after a Hawks icing. I don't remember the play that led to the icing, but perhaps a Hawk knew this and purposely iced the puck to get a break, who knows.
