  1. Well they got to within 6 with the ball before pissing all over themselves again. Literally like 20 seconds later its double digits again again. 5 of 19 from 3 isn't going to win you many games.
  2. What makes you come to this conclusion? I will say that based on the teams he's been involved with its rather underwhelming but we don't know enough about him to assume what kind of draft picks he makes. The Chiefs have actually made quite a few good picks the last couple of seasons. He worked for Ruskell, who worked for Angelo. It's a lateral move. Status quo. It makes the Angelo firing pointless if Emery is the hire. That doesn't necessarily mean they are the same person. Would you consider Lovie Smith and Tony Dungy to be the same type of head coaches? I dunno I just don't want to draw any conclusions without knowing anything about them other than who they worked under in the past.
  3. Seriously....36-17 Arkansas. Arkansas hasn't beaten a quality opponent all year and then Michigan comes and they shoot 80% from the field in the 1st half.
  4. AND ARKANSAS MISSES THEIR FIRST SHOT 11 MINUTES INTO THE GAME!! Michigan just forgot how to shoot the last 4-5 games. 5-18 start for them today and probably 2-10 from 3.
  5. Arkansas starts the game by making their first 11 [expletive] shots, 4 of them from behind the arc ugh. 29-10 Arkansas
  6. Michigan is going to get blown out at Arkansas today, already 13-5. If that happens, then I will start to buy into the Michigan [expletive] sucks on the road thing. Not that Arkansas isn't good enough to beat Michigan at home, but every road game Michigan has looked like a different team besides the Indiana game.
  7. Stop feeding the trolls raw!!
  8. Yes let's base his entire career on one recommendation he made a decade ago.

  10. only if all these guys are friends and turner is a jerk and always insists on standing in the middle That was confusing and horrible. And that's coming from me. Sweet. I was wondering what your thoughts were on this argument.
  11. The TWolves are becoming my 2nd favorite team to watch. So much to like about them, and they all look like they like each other and are building a chemistry.
  12. Amazingly, the Hawks are now tied for 5th in the NHL in point differential (+23). Makes me feel a bit better about their level of success this year. Now is where it gets interesting. 10 of the next 11 games are on the road against. Hawks are currently .500 on the road (technically 10-8-2). The good news is that they play roughly half the games are against teams that aren't all that great. The toughest games will be the 3 against Nashville (1 at home), San Jose, the Rangers and Vancouver. The others are Edmonton, Calgary, Colorado, Phoenix, and Columbus
  13. That might not be a bad idea. Frolik really does do a little bit of everything except scoring goals. He has a history of being a goal scorer so I feel like the ability is there. Maybe putting him on the top line would get him rolling. It's so weird. Look at Frolik's shooting percentage for his career: 08-09 (21 goals, 79 games): 13.3% 09-10 (21 goals, 82 games): 9.6% 10-11: (11 goals, 80 games): 4.4% 11-12: (5 goals, 45 games): 5.3%
  14. Time for the Hawks to get screwed out of another goal. Edit: Yup. [expletive]
  15. Kaner put one through the 5 hole finally. Kid needed that badly and looks excited as hell. Hopefully the floodgates open for him now.
  16. Mike D'Antoni's seat is getting warm all the sudden. Wouldn't be surprised if he was canned tomorrow. You can't lose back to back home games to the Suns and Bucks enroute to a 6-9 start. Bulls fans ridiculed Pax for passing on D'Antoni when he wanted to come here because he wouldn't commit to putting an emphasis on D, but as time has passed it looks like Pax made the right decision.
  17. Tonight's game has been delayed until 8pm because of the snow, just in case people were excited to tune in at 7:30. Can't say I remember something like this being announced 45 minutes before game time.
  18. Damn, I was getting ready to tune in, too. I'll still watch just to see Lucas chuck all night Meh, he doesn't get nearly as much playing time now that Rip and CJ are back. I think he got 15 minutes in the Phoenix game and I believe several of those minutes were in garbage time.
  19. He's out.
  20. I never thought I'd see the day when a Penn State basketball fan was talking trash.
  21. Obviously not the most recent but I'd like to get a Herschel Walker return for Forte :) Edit: I'd settle for a Ricky Williams like trade too
  22. Also looking at the website playoffstatus.com, they give projections based on the games so far and SOS among other things. Division Title odds: Red Wings 50% Blues 33% Blackhawks 12% Predators 5% Chance of making the playoffs: Red Wings 99% Blues 97% Blackhawks 87% Predators 72%
  23. Your friend is right. Points/game should be the ranking system. Hawks would be 3rd in the Central on this metric. Same on the home/road thing. Hawks have played more games and done better at home. The Blues have had the better season so far, but not better than the Red Wings. The rankings are probably Wings, Blues, Hawks...by miniscule margins. Except the Red Wings goal differential which is twice as good as the Blues or the Hawks. His HOF rant sounds dumb and uninformed, however. yeah I gotta agree. I was just looking up SOS numbers this morning and the Hawks have played the easiest SOS in the Western Conference so far this year, and have by far the hardest remaining schedule in the conference (I think the Hawks is around .540, while the next hardest schedule is .510). Add in the home games, PPG, and goal differential and its pretty clear the Blues and Wings have played better than the Hawks this year. That doesn't mean that the Hawks aren't better than those teams. I think all of that has yet to be decided.
  24. How do we send a message to Tom/Theo/Crane? I have various suggestions I want to draw their attention towards.
