  1. I don't know why I watch this team anymore. I'm always extremely pissed off afterwards.
  2. Hawks completely dominate, get a crapload of awesome chances, and somehow only take a point from it. Unbelievable. I feel like we always lose in fricken OT lately. 5-5-3 in our last 13 games, 9 of which were at home. 4 points behind Detroit (even in games) 1 point behind Nashville (even in games) Tied with St. Louis (Blackhawks have played 2 extra games). We are in trouble.
  3. I am not sure how many more awesome chances the Hawks can fail to convert in one game. Part of it is bad luck but a lot of it is a fantastic game by Schneider. One of the best goalie performances we've seen this year. And we lose
  4. Well at least we've secured a point in a tough road environment. But we should have taken this ish in regulation if not for horrible luck and fantastic goaltending by Schneider.
  5. Just [expletive] horrible luck today. The puck was about 0.5 inches from going in as it grazed off the inside part of the iron. I swear we've had 7-8 chances where I'd say 50% of the time, a goal is scored, and we've failed on all of them. We'll probably lose this game in the last couple of minutes to to complete the punch in the gut.
  6. A Blackhawks defenseman almost blew the game with a terrible defensive one turnover right to a Canuck standing right in front of the net. Anyone care to guess which Blackhawks defenseman it was?
  7. Detroit and Nashville both won tonight (STL didn't play) so we really can't afford to have a game where we dominate the majority of it and take a tough luck loss as the goalie stands on his head. We need at least 1 point but probably 2. Detroit is currently 5 points ahead of us, Nashville 2, and St. Louis 1 with 2 games in hand. We're in a really really dire position here and need to go on a hot streak on the road to even stay in the division race.
  8. Wow. Open net and we can't convert. The Hawks are destroying Vancouver this period and have had several really really really good chances but can't score. It should be like 5-1 right now. Give credit to Schneider he's made some amazing saves.
  9. I find it funny that Luongo Somehow always finds himself an off day when the opponents are the Blackhawks.
  10. Same old Crap Hawks
  11. Nice win guys. Illinois is an enigma that may never be solved. Funny thing is they spent a big chunk of Boers and Bernstein today discussing Webber and the failings of Illinois basketball.
  12. Illinois is truly a team that can beat - and lose to - any team in the country.
  13. Wow I knew the Pac 10 was bad, but I read a stat on ESPN's bubble watch that the conference as a whole is 1-31 against the RPI top 50 this year. Their one win was Stanford's win over Colorado State, and Stanford is barely on the bubble right now.
  14. I believe under the previous agreement, cap holds were I think 150% of the player's previous salary and could go up to 300% depending on several factors. I'm pretty sure they reduced this with the new agreement but googling didn't help me find out for sure. Also, the NBA cap does in fact fluctuate each year. Not sure about the 3rd question.
  15. To Timmy's post? No the opposite one. This is hilarious. I think its a Toffee fan pulling some sort of protest.
  16. For some reason Rob Gronkowski looks like a cross between Tim Tebow and Tyler Hansbrough to me.
  17. Damn you must have been sad seeing the Rik Smits era officially end last summer.
  18. Why hasn't WSR given his opinion on this yet?
  19. Who cares? It was awesome regardless.
  20. I don't know. How can a hypothetical like that factor into a trade though? It's not hypothetical that he has a torn ligament in his wrist. No, but it's guesswork to say what he'd do about it with a different team before the move even happens. I guess you could ask him. I'm not sure why Orlando would care all that much. I don't necessarily think the Magic are worried about competing this year if they trade Howard. If anything they would be all for it so he is healthy to start next year.
  21. I just think that Lebron guarding Rose at the end of games presents us with a huge problem that may not be fixable with this current group.(Rip getting and staying healthy could prove me wrong) Couple that with when they figure out Wade is their closer and Lebron isn't, they'll be better equipped as well. It seems they're hellbent on proving Lebron is an end of the game guy, but Wade is so much better, it's not even funny. Regarding the LeBron guarding Rose myth: http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1157074&sid=9af07aee78bb8762abfa661ce2f4c31f Good stuff.
  22. I'm assuming they are talking about Howard correct?
  23. Actually I'm pretty sure the majority of this board was perfectly fine with the DeRosa trade and were happy that Hendry sold high for once. The Aaron Miles signing is a different matter. Hendrys trades were fine for the most part but everything else was spotty at best. The man did not have a long term vision for the club and each offseason was a new plan. Anyways there are hundreds of pages of writing about Hendry on this board. Why don't you go ahead and read them before you group this boards opinions with the meatball fans we all despise.
  24. Saw this about 10 minutes ago and my jaw is still dropped. What can you say about that dunk? The good news is that it will get Lebrons dunk out of peoples minds.
