  1. Corey Hart fouls off several 2 strike pitches before putting one in play. This is what happens when your closer doesn't miss bats. I like Dolis but I don't like him as the closer.
  2. Carlos Marmol pitching = bad news this year even if he doesnt finish the crappiness he starts.
  3. Does Marmol ever NOT go 2-0 to the first hitter?
  4. What the [expletive]??? Someone get this dude a stack of playboys so he can read the articles.
  5. I don't loathe Philly at all....kinda would be nice to see Doug Collins win, but Philly is terrible so there's no way they win more than another game maybe. Boston is Boston but its possible they have a chance of beating Miami so can't really root against them. Indiana sucks but not that much. Miami is the devil. Bottom line, I don't care enough to root for or against any of them.
  6. Holy [expletive]. He looks nothing like I expected without his dreads. When Peanut cut his I still recognized his face but not Devin.
  7. Probably just because Cubs fans do get off on that stop to get to Wrigley. Not nearly as many, but I'm pretty sure they promote that as a Wrigley stop so there isn't so much overflow at the Addison stop. Anyways, I'm sure Tom and Crane took this as a big strike against their vision. The Cubs would love more control over how many night/weekend night games they have, and Tunney seems like he won't budge at all. Plus the Cubs want to use Sheffield as a pre and post game gathering spot and it looks like Tunney wants to limit that. That could mean limit to night games, that could mean limit to weekend games or that could be limited to a select few games. The Cubs want it for all games. Tunney should stick it up his ass. The Cubs are the main reason why his ward is half as prosperous as it is. He's just being a little bitch about things because he can.
  8. Is there a downpour heading our way that I'm not aware of? Yes. It's called the back end of the Braves bullpen. Rumor had it it's pretty awesome. Was it awesome last night when we tacked on 4 insurance runs? 2+4=5? OK 3 insurance runs
  9. He can still be the team mascot and not pitch in the 8th inning of tied ballgames.
  10. Is there a downpour heading our way that I'm not aware of? Yes. It's called the back end of the Braves bullpen. Rumor had it it's pretty awesome. Was it awesome last night when we tacked on 4 insurance runs?
  11. Poor Dempster...how can someone have a 1.02 ERA in 6 starts and be 0-1 during the span?
  12. Is there a downpour heading our way that I'm not aware of?
  13. I kinda wish Kerry Wood and Carlos Marmol weren't our worst 2 bullpen arms at the moment
  14. If you had asked me to name the 8 playoff teams that I would least expect to win the Cup before the playoffs started, 4 of the 5 teams that are still alive (assuming Devils don't blow a 3-1 lead with 10 mins left) would have been on that list.
  15. Apprently they just said on ESPN1000 Noah is out of his aircast and is a game time decision tonight.
  16. I dont think many notice it. I dont think Carlos was yelling at the crowd, I think he was just yelling in excitement that he got out of it and looked good doing it.
  17. Senator Pilosi certainly agrees
  18. So none of the people who called Sveum an idiot for I'm guessing putting Marmol out there want to defend their opinion?
  19. What philosophy is that? The one where apparently you don't give the guy your paying $10 million a year to any chances to get himself together.
  20. Squeezing a guy with no control? Great! As Len and Bob said, the umpire is influenced by the fact he's wild. A borderline pitch is probably going to be called a ball because the ump knowing how bad his control is. The umps don't give him credit for being able to hit the corners. I dont know if that makes any sense. It sounded better coming from Len.
