  1. According to search results from the last year, WSRs flier team would look like this: Orlando Hudson Michael Bowden John Lannan James Loney Brandon Wood Scott Kazmir Scott Feldman Daisuke Matsuzaka
  2. So to recap, you don't think people should criticize LeBron for sucking in the 4th quarter, and then go on to basically say LeBron sucks in the 4th quarter. People criticize him because rightly or wrongly he has been anointed as the best player in the NBA and on the path to being one of the all-time greats. So because of that the standards are sky high for him and failing in the 4th quarter is pretty much inexcusable for a player of his supposed caliber.
  3. It would make me 2 depressed. 1 because I'm not a big fan of Indiana and 2 because it makes it clear that the Bulls had a good shot of winning the title if the entire team didn't get injured.
  4. Didn't that stupid pass just speed up the recovery time for everyone having offseason surgeries, though? Pretending the Bulls could have gotten past the Celtics in round 2, and then maybe a 5 or 6 game series in the ECF, that's nearly another month of play. Probably true, in retrospect. I was pretty upset with him when it happened though. deng isn't having his surgery until the after the olympics and rose already has his, so it's completely irrelevant But didn't Rose's surgery take place once the season was over? Was he putting it off so that he wouldn't miss any games? If he was, then he potentially shaved an extra month of recovery time. Miss any games? You mean like watching them on the bench?
  5. Which would almost certainly heal in time for next year
  6. We should go dig up Chad Fox from the grave to join the pen. He hasnt made his annual appearance yet.

The only players that I would think have a chance to miss time next season due to injuries are Deng and Rose and both of those guys would miss time regardless of whether we ended when we did or played into late May.
  8. Ugh....the Cubs play the White Sox as many times this year as 6 NL teams (Phillies, Mets, Marlins, Padres, Dodgers, Rockies)
  9. I knew that he was pretty banged up. He had a horrible 2nd half and pathetically bad playoff series. I don't know how much that can be attributred to the plantar fasciitis or the shoulder injury, or whatever injuries he had, but I'm willing to excuse some of the poor play. His foot injury didn't make him pass the ball to Omer at the end of game 6. Hence why I said some. The pass to Omer was idiotic beyond belief and I'll never quite forgive him for that [expletive].

  11. Quite an odd way to celebrate Ron Santo. Was he a soccer fan?
  12. Brendan Shanahan, is that you? Dang. Yea guys its me. Make it a little less obvious next time. Thanks for breaking Marian Hossa BTW
  13. Just FYI, these are the Cubs pitchers that started the games that we've won facing Roy Halladay: Sergio Mitre Jason Marquis Tom Gorzelanny Rodrigo Lopez Paul Maholm The 1 time he beat us: Carlos Zambrano
  14. He would have to walk on water and maybe beat the Green Bay Packers a few times to surpass MJ in love.
  15. What a loser...he cant even win the 6th man or MIP awards
  16. Looks like Soriano may be getting on one of his infamous hot streaks Whoops I'm the 5th person to say that
  17. LMAO...I had the game on in the background and wasn't really paying attention until I hear Len freaking out. Good old Pierre
  18. A 15-21 team losing a well-contested game that you didn't watch shouldnt ruin your day that much. Maybe momentarily being upset.
  19. LaHair is now.... 2nd in the NL in OPS (3rd in MLB) 2nd in the NL in SLG (3rd in MLB) 3rd in the NL in HR (7th in MLB) 4th in the NL in OBP (6th in MLB) 4th in the NL in BA (6th in MLB) 8th in the NL in BB (18th in MLB)
  20. All 4 pitchers who pitched for the Cubs blew a lead or allowed the Cardinals to take the lead. Maholm blows a 3-0 lead and then allows the go-ahead run Wood blows a 5-4 lead Russell blows a 5-5 tie Dollis blows a 6-6 tie Not very clutch today. Oh well.
  21. Yeah I think Castro is the only safe bet for at least this year and probably next year. I have my Castro jersey shirt which is my main Cubs game shirt now that my Aramis Ramirez jersey is obsolete.
  22. Lahair now on pace for 41 2B, 45 HR and 95 RBI Never in my wildest imagination would I have expected this. Even if pitchers figure him out and he ends up being terrible the rest of the way, this is more than I expected out of him. And the odds of pitchers figuring him out enough that he struggles the rest of the year is dwindling by the day.
  23. Rooney and Farmer were pretty good. I agree with those that say Farmer doesn't cut it as a PBP guy.
  24. because....? I don't like to reward stupidity. The Cubs have been left unrewarded for stupidity for over a century. Let's just enjoy it when we win ok?
