  1. I know that this is stupid, but it seriously puts a smile on my face whenever I read about MJ and Pip hanging out together. I've heard quite a few "Pippen and Jordan weren't/aren't very close off the court" stories and they always made me sad. While I don't think they are the best of friends obviously catching a basketball game together like they did a few years ago, and MJ surprising Pip at his birthday party show that there is a level of friendship between them. And most importantly, who the [expletive] won the dance off? http://deadspin.com/5946997/michael-jordan-and-scottie-pippen-allegedly-had-a-dance+off-at-pippens-birthday-party Deadspin almost certainly nailed it on the head: And of course one of the commenters also hits it on the head:
  2. Yeah, the guy's response was meatball-y, but I'd take Romo over Cutler, too. Yeah I dont disagree with the premise that Romo is better. It was just a really dumb response.
  3. Dallas guy response: Oh, and Chicagoans don't know anything about QBs and havent seen enough to judge what a good one looks like. Also basically implies that Romo is on pace to be in the HOF What an idiotic response.
  4. You must be really desperate for RBs. I am generally not a fan of trading a marquee player for a couple of good players. I think you should have concentrated on getting back an elite RB for Green. I do see your thinking with getting LeShoure before his value might get higher if he has more games like Sunday, but the Lions just don't seem like a team that is going to give him enough carries to be more than an average back. Sproles is good but is never going to be a top tier RB, just a good one that can explode some weeks and be invisible other weeks. If you were desperate for RBs, its not a horrible trade, but I'd expect more of a return for Green.
  5. lol, I believe I said they can go 1-5 on the road trip and still have a good shot of sweeping the Astros, not sure how you got "The Rockies series will be easy" out of that. Also, its the first game of the trip you buzzkill.
  6. Pennant fever! I'm actually going tomorrow night because its dog day, and my fiance loves to take our dog to that game each year. There might be more people attending because of dog day than because of the game.
  7. I'm going to put my head in the sand and keeping telling myself that was his 5th ever NFL game and he's coming back from a major knee injury.
  8. Because the overtime is "sudden death" and a touchdown ends overtime by rule. In the instance of last night's game, they could block the extra point, return it for 2 points and still win the game. They did change that rule in the NFL a couple years ago didn't they? Yeah that's not a rule in the NFL anymore (if it ever was). If it was, the Packers would have at least put up a token effort to block the kick last night. Charles Tillman did that on MNF back in 2006 (returned a blocked XP to the opposite end zone) and when he got there he just sorta dropped the ball and walked away realizing that there was no reason for him to run all the way down there.
  9. ESPN.com estimates that 67,000 fantasy users on their site started or started against GB D/ST and either won or lost their matchup on the final play. Thats crazy. No word on the number of users that started or started against the Seahawks kicker and lost because of the extra point no one wanted to kick, but I know there's one on here. Also, why do you not have to kick an extra point for a TD that ends OT but with :00 left in regulation you do? It's absolutely completely meaningless and should be optional if the team doesn't want to take it. I get that somewhere between in the tiebreakers that no one ever gets to there is point differential, but then why not require XPs on all TDs including OT?
  10. Holy [expletive] that's amazing Isn't he trying to do away with unions in Wisconsin? Or at least limit their power? Good time to turn around and support one because of a football game.
  11. But if Forte is coming back, and Bush is health, you still have Allen and Bell...there's no reason for Grant. We're missing some info here. Probably precautionary in case Forte suffers a setback or otherwise decides not to go. They work him out and see if he's worth picking up if something happens with Forte, and if nothing happens oh well they don't sign him.
  12. I almost forgot about this play. Hilarious.... http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/1805sm56tx7nngif/original.gif The caption reads: "You know it was a good shot because it wasn't a red one." What happened on that play anyways? Doesn't look like he got his feet tripped up by anyone. For a season, I thought he got shot in the leg by a sniper or something.
  13. Ahh small sample sizes
  14. Also....here it is. The Packer's radio network calling the last play and the resulting 6 minutes of aftermath http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/171143241.html
  15. Looks like even Seahawks fans think it was an INT. And a majority of the people that are voting are probably casual fans or homers who see what they want to see. From the Seattle PI website: http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg846/scaled.php?server=846&filename=seattlehaha.jpg&res=landing
  16. nice..that's gonna cost him some money most likely.
  17. Sorry forgot to note that it was a guess as to the reason. In all honesty I was trying to present something that could be. A homer would have been Expletive this and that with jibberish everywhere. Sorry to be so succient and logical I would have loved to hear the Packers radio and Seattle Radio calls. Unfortuantely, I have the game on mute because my son is asleep in the other room and if you can believe it, I kept it quiet when they called it a TD. Score some Dad points there! :) No I understand what you are trying to do. I think thats the most logical case you could make for that being a TD. Also, you are a true American hero for not waking up your son in jubilation. If that was the Bears, my neighbor's kid would be woken up.
  18. I am 98% certain that the real refs will be back on Thursday.
  19. This is bizarre to see both teams come out 15 minutes after the TD to kick the extra point.
  20. i had forgotten how much of a homer you are from back in 2006 Lucky enuff that I never forgot how much of a JackA** you always are. Next time watch Russell Wilson before making dumb remarks and also read this thread where I am being fair to what happened despite the ludicrious of the game. I'm not gonna call you a homer, and I've always respected your Seattle fandom, but I have not seen/heard one person besides the officials say that its a Seattle TD. But then again, I've only heard the opinions of the Packers radio network and and the MNF crew.
  21. OK, thats officially worse than Matt Ryan taking a knee to lose a rushing yard on MNF to cost me the game last week.
  22. I was walking my dogs listening to this game on the Packers radio station. Amazing experience to hear Larrivee flip his [expletive]. He's still going on about it....as he should be. I've never heard him like this.
  23. I was just coming here to post that. Wow. I'm happy because its going against GB, but wow this is embarrassing.
