  1. Here's hoping Rizzo gets a hit or two to keep his season OPS above .800. He went 0-4 yesterday which dropped him from .815 to .805. Also, Castro is .002 OPS points ahead of his rookie OPS, the lowest of his career thus far.
  2. A- Points deduced for interesting bunting decisions earlier in the year
  3. Most of the time. This year no Cubs means chance to make sure Cubs not such as much next time we see them play.
  4. I'm sure a lot of people know this already but Greenberg whiffed on 3 pitches and looked pretty bad doing it.
  5. This Cowboy blog found pretty much all the major predictions for the game on the internet and found that the media chose the Cowboys over the Bears by a 55-17 margin. Its pointless to really take offense to anything the media predicts, but its an interesting look on the public's perception of the 2 teams before this game. I was really surprised that the predictions were so heavily in favor of the Cowboys. Before I started seeing them, I figured it would be 50-50 between the two teams. http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2012/10/1/3436538/dallas-cowboys-vs-chicago-bears-media-roundup-the-picks-are-in
  6. The Cubs understand that they can't get the number 1 pick right?
  7. The Bears' DVOA actually went up from last week, but other teams' DVOA went up more due to the reconfiguring of opponent adjustments from 2011 projections (how teams finished last year) to 2012 results (how teams are this year). There's basically a steep dropoff after #9 (Minny), and then a vast ocean between #11 (Seattle) and #13 (Philly). Yeah I was gonna say. Week 4 is when they factor in the strength of the opponents they've played. They don't do it the first 3 weeks because its too skewed by a small sample size. One of The FO guys was on Simmons podcast and explained all of that.
  8. Responding like that to SSRs Bulls troll posts only encourages him.
  9. Come on Vance, you know you want to make an appearance.
  10. I wouldn't say all the breaks went our way. 2 Dallas fumbles went right back to them, a Dallas punt landed inches from the end zone and managed to bounce forwards taking away a touchback and a pass interference call was overturned because of a tip even though the pass interference clearly occurred before the tip. But yeah overall a majority of things did go our way. What was your predicted score? Something like 27-6 Cowboys?
  11. Jacksonville has a pretty good defense and sometimes is able to play good teams tough. I'm not saying the Bears won't have an easy victory but stranger things have happened then this team coming out flat after an emotional MNF game on a short week on the road against a team easy to overlook and a relaxing bye week staring at them. Bears 27 Jaguars 10
  12. It begins. From ESPN.com
  13. I see you, Minny I said 27-20 Bears but I really meant 27-10.
  14. I don't know why but I didn't have a ton of worry about this game. I certainly didn't think we'd be blowing them out, but I felt confident that the Bears would win. I don't know if its because last time we went into Cowboys Stadium we won fairly easily, or because the last time we played a road MNF game against an NFC East team we won, but I didn't have the worry I have for most prime time games.
  15. Fade to black. Thank God Romo is going to be the one ripped by the national media tomorrow and not Cutler. You knew one of them was going to come out of the game looking bad.
  16. You mean like when he scored a rather athletic TD earlier in the game?
  17. On a somewhat related note, if Lovie didn't accept that dumbass penalty to negate a 14 yard play, the Cowboys would have 0 penalties for 0 yards called on them until the illegal shift that was just called.
  18. LOVE me some Dez Bryant!
  19. Would love to be up 21 and kill a few more ticks off the clock, but being up 17 is not a bad consolation prize.
  20. Oh well, either way we're about to be up by 3 scores again
  21. Yeah they're going to overturn this call. Just like the one they overturned on MNF against Detroit last year.
  22. Finally, we can see what Marshall does for our offense during big games. He showed it in the Colts game, but that was the Colts and Cutler was throwing to him every play.
  23. The real refs would have taken 10 minutes to make a decision, called Jeffery down, and then overturned the call in favor of the Cowboys after reviewing it.
  24. Huge [expletive] break!!! Don't do that to me again guys.
  25. I think its way too close to overturn. I'd love to be wrong though. Edit: I was looking at the knee. I forgot the elbow. It looks a little more obvious that he was down.
