In terms of personality? Yeah I think thats absolutely correct.
  3. Happy birthday to me

Probably because he plays for a lower profile team that plays in a lukewarm football market.

I was definitely one of those people and did a double take when I went on ESPN.com a few minutes ago.
  6. Uh no. Thanks for your input. I will surely reconsider my opinion.
  7. Apparently you didn't read the hastily made part. I don't think anyone has ever spent more than 5 minutes doing a power rankings ever. Except maybe Peter King. I could see him spending hours determining who is worthy enough to make his Fine Fifteen.
  8. Meh, one makes opinion. I think the Giants are one of the best 2-3 teams in football and will be there at the end. In my mind, the Bears could be anywhere among the #3-6 teams. I will say, I forgot to account for the bad injuries the Ravens received yesterday. I should have them a bit lower. Philly is interesting because they look like crap a lot of the time, but they've also played a really tough schedule so far and are still 3-3. OK barely winning in Cleveland looked bad, but then they beat Baltimore, lost to an Arizona team that was playing really well at the beginning of the year, beat the Giants who as you know I think highly of, and then lost 2 very close games in Pittsburgh and against Detroit. They probably should be 4-2 instead of 3-3, but I think they are within the top 10 teams in football and will prove it over the course of the season.
  9. These are my hastily made power rankings 1. ATL 2. NYG 3. BAL 4. HOU 5. CHI 6. SF 7. GB 8. PHI - 9. NE 10. MIN 11. SEA 12. SD/DEN winner 13. DET 14. SD/DEN loser 15. ARI 16. WAS - 17. DAL 18. MIA 19. STL 20. TB 21. NYJ 22. PIT 23. CIN 24. NO - 25. OAK 26. CAR 27. IND 28. BUF 29. CLE 30. TEN 31. JAX 32. KC
  10. All of this is true. There is still nothing wrong with being pissed about it. Not at all. It pisses me off beyond belief. Especially with their new found love affair with going down to their last strike of the season down multiple runs and pulling it out.
  11. As much as I hate the Cardinals, its hard to look past their 7-1 record in their last 8 postseason series and call them 'sub-championship'. They put up rather mediocre regular season records, but obviously there is something they are doing right to build a team that can win best of 5 or 7 series. We're talking about 44 game sample size since 2006 (27-17 overall record including the 0-3 record in 2009). Maybe they are just the luckiest team in all of professional sports, and I realize they've gotten some pretty fortunate breaks, but the more they win the harder it is to say that.
  12. Hah, I was going through that list looking at 6...5...4...3 and thinking "wait wtf don't tell me they don't have the Bears in the top 8, this is so ann- oh there they are"

honestly, the responses to your post seemed pretty tame overall
  14. Michigan is ranked in both the AP and USA today poll. Or are you basing the rankings on BCS Standings? Edit: Also, finally B1G has a team ranked in the Coaches poll!
  15. Did they have DVOA in 1985?
  16. Who cares about the Yankees anymore? They don't win every year, they don't buy every superstar that comes on the market anymore. Yes they still have the largest payroll in the game by a big margin, but that hasn't guaranteed them anything except 1 World Series title in the last 12 years. I'm not rooting for them or anything, but I honestly would be pretty indifferent if they won this year.

  18. Nope just Josh Hancock
  19. I am shocked that you were able to spin the current discussion into your thoughts about the Cubs rebuilding plan.
  20. I want to say the Giants have the pitching to shut them down but they didnt seem to have a problem with the Phillies last year. They just won't lose under any circumstances and I refuse to believe otherwise.
  21. My enduring memory of this game will be Suzuki pumping his fist thinking that the game was over before the 1B ump said Molina didn't swing
  22. I know. I was just thinking about how for the first time in awhile I could relax and just enjoy the playoffs without having to worry about one team not winning at all costs. I was really looking forward to a relaxing enjoyable Giants-Nats NLCS.
  23. The Cardinals have had 6 consecutive at bats where they were down to their last out of the season and managed to keep their season alive.
  24. I don't know why I ever gave myself hope that the Cardinals would actually lose
  25. Sweet, Cardinals in the NLCS. FML
