  1. Oh well, 3 is better than 0 I guess. I'll take the 10 point lead.
  2. Line is starting to show some cracks
  3. Yay thanks for the extra 15 yards!
  4. So glad we wasted that timeout on a 3rd and 7. We should start doing what the Steelers did yesterday and have one of our players pretend he just got shot.
  5. How many times will the Cardinals be down to their last strike tonight only to overcome and win?
  6. Wow, who had Conte? When Stafford threw that, I thought for sure that was going to be picked off.
  7. Great, that's the 1st quarter TO that Jay usually uses. Now what's he gonna do?
  8. When is the next time one of the 4 major sports leagues can have a strike/lockout after this one? I'm getting sick of riding the roller coaster of labor negotiations. The NBA lockout almost killed me.
  9. It was the first Super Bowl that ever had any rain during it. I've heard from Bears fans who went that it was a miserable experience, especially in the 2nd half when the rain picked up and the game faded away.
  10. All I know is that it would have to be maybe 15-0 Giants before I started to feel comfortable about a Cardinals loss.
  11. see this is why its a huge problem to have 6 people on defense out. I glanced at the Packers depth chart while making that last post and saw this: http://imageshack.us/scaled/landing/825/packerswtf.jpg When your number 1 receiver, who hasnt played in several weeks is coming back to start at SS for the first time in his career just to survive another injury, that's a problem.
  12. Yeah but is also over half their starting defense. Actually I don't know how many of them are starters, but if most of them are you have to think they are being replaced with less than average players.
  13. Dude probably just wanted to visit London again. Hope this signing works out as well for St. Louis as Orlando Pace worked out for us.
  14. What about Giants in 7? Tigers in 5 regardless of who wins the NLCS. They're finally playing to their talent level, and at the perfect time. Their bullpen might cost them one game, but their rotation is lights out right now, and Young and Peralta are hitting in addition to Miggy and Prince. They're just a tough matchup for anyone right now. We'll see. My experience has been that things can change in the blink of an eye, especially with a week off. The Tigers were coming into the World Series red hot as well having beaten the Yankees in 4 and then sweeping the A's to get to the World Series, while the Cardinals trudged past the Mets in 7 games.
  15. So Tom Brady screamed at his offensive line on the sidelines yesterday. Also Ahmad Bradshaw had a shouting match with his head coach immediately after scoring a touchdown. I must be looking in the wrong places for those front page articles talking about the lack of leadership by Brady and Bradshaw.
  16. Panthers fired their GM today. Ron Rivera has gotta be nervous.
  17. Just look at some playoff scenarios from the website playoffstatus.com NFC Chance of playoffs: Falcons 99% 49ers 70% Bears 65% Vikings 56% Giants 55% Packers 48% --------------- Cowboys 43% Seahawks 38% Eagles 33% Cardinals 30% Redskins 26% Rams 17% Lions 15% Saints 2% Buccaneers 2% Panthers 1% AFC Chance of playoffs: Texans 95% Ravens 80% Broncos 72% Patriots 61% Chargers 48% Steelers 44% --------------- Dolphins 40% Jets 33% Titans 31% Colts 28% Raiders 24% Bills 19% Bengals 15% Chiefs 6% Jaguars 4% Browns 2% Division leader chances of remaining: Falcons 98% Texans 82% Ravens 68% Broncos 60% 49ers 57% Patriots 47% Bears 40% Giants 33% The Falcons are in such a good spot, they could finish the year 3-7 and still have a 77% chance of winning the division. At 2-8, its nearly a 50-50 shot at making the playoffs, with the odds all coming from winning the division.
  18. It will be week 8 before we finally have our 3rd noon Sunday start of the year. So far we've had 2 Noon Sundays (Colts, Rams), a noon 3PM (Jags), 2 MNF (Cowboys, Lions), a Thursday night game (Packers) and a bye. Then after 2 noon games we have 2 more primetime games in a row. The good news is that 5 of our last 6 games will be noon games with the other being a 3pm Until 1 of them gets flexed out and another moved to the late game. I was gonna say, I'm almost sure we'll get a game or two flexed (can they do more than one for a given team?)... Could definitely see the Minnesota game being one of those. I'm pretty sure there is a limit to the number of times a team can be picked for a prime time game and I want to say that limit is 5, which the Bears will already be at after the SF game. It's possible that teams can get a 6th if they are flexed but I don't remember the rule well enough. Ahh...from Wikipedia: So the Bears could be one of the 3 teams that gets flexed into a 6th primetime game. That said, the Bears and Packers both have 5 Primetime games scheduled so if they were to flex that game they'd use 2 of the 3 up in one game. Possible but not necessarily likely at this point. Bears Vikings seems like a more likely choice as long as the Vikings (or Bears I guess) haven't faded.
  19. Something has gotta give between these 2 teams tomorrow night. The Giants and Cardinals have combined to win 11 consecutive elimination games if my math is correct. Giants (5): Game 5,6 2012 NLCS Game 3,4,5 2012 NLDS Last elimination: Game 4 2003 NLDS Cardinals (6): Game 5 2012 NLDS 2012 Wild Card Playoff Game Game 6,7 2011 World Series Game 4,5 2011 NLDS Last elimination: Game 3 2009 NLDS That's amazing (and sickening for the Cardinals part)
  20. lol Jets
  21. See the Patriots have been [expletive] up in close games all year. It was not as sure of a thing as it used to be.
  22. So during the Bears 15 day sabbatical, the division improved. Overall the division went 4-1 since the last time the Bears played (Packers went 2-0, Vikings went 1-1, Lions went 1-0).
