Even that is a convoluted stat. What does it matter if the game was played in a Blackhawks uniform. That isn't an accomplishment. It's a nice long career, but in a league where guys often play for 5-6 teams it's really only noteworthy when somebody like Brodeur plays his 1000th for the same team. There's like 30 active guys with more games played. Plus, they gave him a picture of him with the cup from three years ago that he probably already has. Bottom line, it seemed a little odd to make such a big deal out of it, but I'd rather the Hawks have questionable ceremonies for their stars than go back to the Bill Wirtz era where our long time stars were alienated and estranged from the organization.
