  1. i had no idea you could get a penalty for too many faceoff violations oh and that's the dumbest rule ive ever heard
  2. They just said on whatever Versus is now that the Hawks are 28-0-4 in games that Patrick Sharp has played in this year.
  3. OK WTF is up with the NBA scheduling for this round of the playoffs? First of all, for some reason there are no games on tonight. I'm trying to think of a major sporting event that is preventing them from playing games on a Thursday, somewhat of a basketball night (due to TNT's games of the week during the season). But even more bizarre is the Knicks-Pacers scheduling. They played game 2 on Tuesday, then have THREE days of rest before their next game on Saturday, then TWO more days of rest before game 4 on Tuesday. That's one game scheduled in the span of a week. Really weird.
  4. As for as blowouts going, this one was rather entertaining.
  5. lol... http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/227579/Trey-Burke-Rising-On-Draft-Boards-Could-Go-No-1
  6. I have never seen so many uncontested dunks coming out of half court sets in my life
  7. They're calling it evenly, but protecting the series. This is going to be too good of a series to see people get thrown out after a fight happens. If they were "protecting the series" they would make calls favoring the bulls.
  8. umm...resting up between games 1 and 2
  9. http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/breaking/chi-wrigley-night-games-20130508,0,1878827.story wow, 46 night games and 35 day games next year. Will be interesting to see how they distribute those night games. I'm assuming this means more Saturday night games.
  10. Thibs just announced Hinrich is out tonight Deng reportedly experienced more bad headaches last night and is still in Chicago. He might go consult another doctor to figure out wtf is going on.
  11. Oh yes, because the come back victories have been so plentiful and the games blown by the bullpen have been so rare. When you predict that the game is over in the 8th inning 162 times a year, you'll probably be right 75% of the time, and you'll be annoying, pointless, and stupid 100% of the time. Flawless victory
  12. The 8th? You are giving him way too much credit.
  13. The interference call is a bit iffy, but I'm not sure why the runner has to go back to 1st regardless
  14. UM's non conference schedule is going to be much tougher than last year. Thankfully UM has the home portion of the home and home against Arizona this year. at Duke vs. Arizona at Iowa State vs. Stanford (Brooklyn) Puerto Rico Tip Off Tournament with Georgetown, Kansas State, VCU, Florida State To compare, last year's toughest non-conference games were at home against NC State, and vs. Kansas State and Pittsburgh at MSG.
  15. Yes, I am all for that as well.
  16. I know theres still a series for the Hawks to win and I'm not assuming anything, but if the Hawks can finish off the Wild, they will be playing either the 6 seeded Sharks (won their series) or the 7 seeded Red Wings (tied 2-2). If the Wings beat the Ducks it will be them, otherwise it will be SJ. Who would you rather play? I think I'd rather play Detroit but I don't have a strong preference either way...I think we can win both series.
  17. Not a full Cubs game or anything but I just found this video....its a dude walking around Wrigleyville towards the end of the 2003 NLDS Game 5 filming the neighborhood and assorted fan reactions during the final inning and then the celebration afterwards. Really fun to watch, especially as it starts out a calm neighborhood with assorted cheering fans walking by as the radio call of the game is spliced in, and over time you see the police presence ramping up and eventually the celebration spills out of the bars and into the streets. There's actually about an hour of video between Parts 1 and 2 Part 1:
  18. welcome to the last page of discussion
  19. Didn't know the Pens backup goalie is Vokoun. Not a bad backup to have. Gotta wonder if they are considering benching Fluery.
  20. So if the Hawks can finish off Minnesota it will be Hawks-Sharks unless Detroit beats Anaheim (series tied 2-2) Hawks went 3-0-0 against SJ with composite scoring of 11-5
