    You actually think the Nets are purposely losing to avoid the Bulls? I don't know their motivations for anything but "tanking for the 6 seed" was a story today. Turns out they played their guys tonight and lost anyway, but the story was they were gonna shut down 6 guys for their last two games. If that had actually been the case wouldn't you also surmise they were comfortable slipping to the 6 seed? Yes but I suspect that was as much trying to match up with Miami (4-0 this year) as it is avoiding Chicago

    I was going to jokingly call you a Wings homer, but then I remembered you guys hate(d) the Blues too If I was a Homer I would have Detroit up there:). St Louis has been terrible lately, makes me think that they may turn it on in the playoffs. Especially facing the Hawks. But the Hawks are probably the leagues most talented team. IDK, I have pondered on this series for a couple of days and may amend my pick later. I go back and forth. Hawks probably have the more talented team and has proven it can win in the playoffs and also important and score on any defense and goalie. St. Louis has a long proud history of playoff chokes. But the Hawks have looked sluggish during large stretches this year and have played a lot of games the last 15 months. You'd expect them to turn it on for the playoffs but what if they can't? I think the Hawks will win but I'm much less confident than I was in the first round last year obviously.

    On the broadcast yesterday they said Game 1 would be either Saturday or Sunday. They helps you narrow it down a little at least.

    Looks like a doubleheader on Wednesday then. Cubs are off Thursday but the Yankees have a game in Tampa. Cubs go to NY to play the Mets in August but no off days surround that trip.

    Kane, Toews, Raanta and Crawford were the only Blackhawks to practice today. Looks like they will both be on the ice for game 1

    Probably the guy with the "most blocked" view. I meant the guy with the tweet His twitter calls him the PA announcer for NIU hockey, so obviously a super legit source. But in all seriousness he seems to have some sort of friendship/relationship with Tom Loxas. I'm just gasping for straws here with news on this.

    If we were still in the old format (but only 2 divisions getting 1-2 seeds instead of 3 divisions getting 1-2-3), the 5th seeded Hawks would be playing the 4th seeded Sharks, but only because the Blues won the tiebreaker over them (43 ROWs vs. 41) It would have been 1 Anaheim vs. 8 Dallas (same) 2 Colorado vs. 7 Minnesota (same) 3 St Louis vs. 6 Los Angeles (instead its SJ/LA) 4 San Jose vs. 5 Chicago (instead its STL/CHI) In the east 1 Boston vs. 8 Detroit (same) 2 Pittsburgh vs. 7 Columbus (same) 3 Tampa Bay vs. 6 Philadelphia (instead its TB/MTL) 4 Montreal vs. 5 New York Rangers (instead its NYR/PHI) So if SJ/STL and PHI/MTL swapped the matchups would be the same.

    Not officially but they've both been skating and it has been stated repeatedly that they will be back.

    For me it's a matter of me knowing the Bulls aren't going to win the title so I want them to get as far as they can possibly get which to me is the ECF. We had a lottery ticket with being set up to play Washington and Indiana instead of Brooklyn and Miami. Now they are split up and the road is tougher.
