    I know. I remember how id count the days until tickets went on sale, waited in line for wristbands and then got up early to hear the winning number called. In 2005 I was 200 away from the winning number and excitedly went down the Wrigley and bought tickets to the Red Sox series and a few others. Now I don't even bother going online to buy tickets.

    Westbrook was hurt in late April, missed the first couple games of a season that started 7 months later, then after a month his knee swelled up again and he missed 2 more months. Derrick had a very similar knee injury 4 months ago.

    What doesn't this dude get? When you make a lot of money and don't perform to your standards, teams move on. That's any team in the freaking NFL. The Bears aren't going to resign you because you played well for them in 2006. The more this guy talks the more I forget how great of a football player he was.

    Huge win for Nebraska tonight, winning in Bloomington where Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa and Ohio State couldn't. They will need to beat Wisconsin to have an at large chance, but the game is in Lincoln, where Nebraska is undefeated except for a 1 point last second loss to Michigan. If they can win that and a BTT game I think they are in.

    Don't really have a place to put this but since we're talking about drafting/signing punters, Todd Sauerbrun. Only the Bears would waste a 2nd round draft pick on him, then let him go after meh seasons and then see him become a 3x pro bowler with another team.

    So the Blackhawks are 7-12 against the Central Division this year and 1-7 against the Blues/Avs. Geez, great time for divisional playoff rounds

    Columbus always seems to wake them up. Though this is a different team than the one we pantsed over and over the last few years. Really? despite going 4-0 against them last year, all 4 wins were by 1 goal, and 2 of them were OT/SO. I agree in previous years we have dominated them and I believe have won 11 in a row against them.

    Yeah, the Illini haven't played their best defensive game by a longshot, but there's not much to be done when a team shoots like this. Michigan has just been unconscious. Problem is UM is 80th(!) in AdjD, that won't get you very far come tournament time. It's 71st after last night, and I believe their adjusted D was somewhere near 60 last year

    I think it is, but I guess we won't find out until the playoffs.

    Err, only 4 teams don't, many B1G tourney teams play Thursday. Michigan went to the National Title game last year and was a 4 seed in the tourney but only a 5 seed for the BTT

    Down 2 points to the Blues (who have 3 games in hand) and 1 point ahead of Avs (who have 1 game in hand) for home ice in first round. 4 regulation losses in 5 games. Blah.

    I always think on proposals like this that it would take the element of surprise away from whether a team is going for a fake XP, or on a botched XP snap, but then I realized how incredibly rare either of those are.

    How did Iowa remained ranked? Was a 7 point home win over Purdue more impressive than giving up 188 points in their 2 previous games, both losses to fringe teams (albeit on the road)
