if you base it on last years numbers, they are a considerable upgrade and cheaper

Yeah I think Illinois would need to get to the BTT title game to get legit consideration. After today their RPI is 64 and their SOS will be in the low 30s. 3 150+ losses is around the low end of the bubble teams, but other than @ Indiana, all of Illinois other losses are in the top 45 RPI. Beating Michigan and Ohio State would give them 6 Top 50 wins (3 road, 2 neutral) and 3 Top 25 wins (1 road, 2 neutral). I'd think that would be enough but bukie might have a more informed opinion on this.

I don't think I will ever follow the minor leagues again if Baez doesn't at least turn into a solid player. He just looks too awesome and bust proof to fail.

Is he going to get a guaranteed contract? I was kind of hoping Wilson and Earl would be able to compete for the job. Or would he just be replacing Weems?

I was just thinking. The Big Ten Tourney is going to be interesting next year with 14 teams. 1 and 2 get byes then we have 6 opening round games on Thursday at the UC. They're going to have to start at like 9am CT if they want the games to end by midnight

But they won't. Seems like one more year for OP. I hate that this win made me slightly excited for another year with Garrett and Hamilton and hopes of at least competing for an NIT bid. Won't happen. If it was going to happen, it would have been this year with Young and Melvin still around. Despite their flaws, they are eons better than anyone in the pipeline. Unless Garrett somehow becomes a lottery pick next year, DePaul will suck badly again. Mychael Henry should help them out. Yup. They don't have any 4 star players or anything coming in, but hopefully the guys coming in fit OPs system. I'm kind of glad Young is graduating, the dude didn't play a lick of defense from what I saw (which admittedly isn't much, maybe 4-5 games a year). I'm trying to be optimistic here...

It's interesting news. You'd think that the Bucs gave him a more than fair contract offer. It's possible he wants to hear the Bears pitch/offer (as well as other teams) before making a decision. I honestly didn't think TB would let him leave without signing.

Hawks are 10-7-7 in 2014. They were 36-7-5 in 48 games last year. -

Agreed. Especially with 2 days off between games. Really weird time to start him. -
And Virginia (?????). Virginia benefitted from one of the most friendly ACC schedules possible to win the ACC. And yet all the computer numbers seem to like them, don't they?
