  2. Heart of the Cubs order ladies and gents
  3. Not to burst any bubbles but in 2009 Bonny went 4-5 with a HR and 2 RBIs then put up a .234/.289/.280/.569 line the rest of the year
  4. Allen just had his PC. Highlights: Allen says Jay Cutler called him as soon as the deal was announced. (Urlacher groans) Allen says the Bears are much closer to a SB than people think Allen: "I wouldn't be here if I felt I was [only] a third-down rush guy. I have a lot left in the tank." Phil Emery says Jared Allen contract took "a lot of creative thinking on both sides."
  5. Would be funny if they tell Castro to go back to being himself and he starts walking and being a patient hitter.
  6. Great, stupid Cobs are just wasting TOs
  7. Got to remind myself he missed almost all of spring, but 2 weak groundouts..
  8. Control+Olt+Delete that AB from my memory I'll be here all night folks!
  9. McCutchen is pretty good at this baseball
  10. On the one called strike, he turned backward like he was about to be hit
  11. You are. That's the number he chose. I get that, but why were people questioning it? Usually when a player has a non-traditional number not during spring training or the september call up period there's some special significance behind it. Justin Berg is the only other Cub to wear #64
  12. Rizzo not looking good against a lefty
  13. Interesting. Would that have been challengable if he didnt change it? Not that I would use a challenge there, just trying to get a grasp for what is allowed.
  14. beat me to it...nails on a chalkboard What is this hockey?
  15. Not sure, but I'm sure blackout rules still apply for me.

  17. anyone have a WGN stream of the game? I can only find ESPN's. Want to hear Len if possible.
  18. View opening day as Olt day. . In 2003 Corey Patterson hit a HR in the 1st inning of his 2nd opening day In 2006 Murton hit a 1st inning HR in his 1st opening day In 2009 Soriano lead off the season with a HR In 2010 Byrd hit a 3 run HR in his first Cubs AB in the 1st In 2010 Castro hit a HR in his first major league AB In 2013 Rizzo hit a 1st inning HR in his 1st opening day Cubs have a way with early magic BTW in all 3 seasons Byrd played for the Cubs, he was the batter when the 1st Cubs run of the season scored. 2010 he hit a HR, in 2011 he reached on an error scoring a run, in 2012 he singled in a run (probably his only hit with the Cubs that season)
  19. If the whole team remained together the entire season - 75 With the annual trade deadline sell off - 66
  20. no inside sources here, but i like McGary to return he's still a year younger than Payne, who improved his stock by returning Come back and risk injury again? I think he's gone. Though, he probably looking at a pick in the 20s vs. a lottery pick if he comes back. I think he's a high second round pick right now unless he somehow impresses greatly during his workouts
