    it sucks we lost but: Awesome turnout. I really wish we could find a way to carry that mainstream passion into the "lesser" events like Copa America, the Olympics, Gold Cup, Confederations Cup (assuming we get there), MLS, etc.

    funny thing is we always play well before the deadline. Sucks because although you know its the right thing to trade off guys, it sucks doing it when you are playing well.

    My company has an outing at the KC Cougars game today. Excited to see Blackburn and Schwarber, assuming he doesn't get promoted today.

    This season (majors and minors) has been more fun than 2011-2013 combined. Whoever said this Iowa team has one of the most entertaining lineups in minor league history is probably right.

    For some reason I feel like winning this game would be bigger for US Soccer than beating Mexico in 2002.

    Good to know we'd get a bye in the next round. I'm completely in favor of that. Good we can have a week or so to figure out how to get it to snow in Brazil for USA-Costa Rica (I'm assuming CR has a bye too, because: CONCACAF)

    There were very few things I've enjoyed more in sports during my lifetime then watching Rose come into his own and become a superstar. Loved his personality, loved his game, loved how he came up big in clutch moments. I would have killed for him and given him access to my wife. It's not that I'm not a DRose fan now, or that I don't like him. It's just....not the same. I don't know if my perception is altered by the injuries and not continually being rewarded for cheering for him, but his personality changed and he has become a lot less likable, a lot more fallible. It sucks because I really loved to love Rose.

    Duh, its not his job at all. His job is to rehab from various injuries.

    hah, Rose now saying that he's not sure if he's even going to try out for Team USA as he's not sure if he's ready to be "competitive" yet, despite all the reports that he's been doing 5-on-5 for multiple months and the surgery that was said to have 4-6 month recovery period taking place 8 months ago.
