  1. I knew that sounded familiar. Haha awesome
  2. He'll be fine. Or he won't. I'm not going to worry about it until next season.
  3. i about flipped on umfan for his soler tailing off comment but i managed to restrain myself Don't get your panties in a bunch. I looked it up and I was wrong. Edit: whoops I said coming back to earth. Tailing off and coming back down to earth are two different things. I retract my admission of wrongness.
  4. Edwin Jackson moving to the pen for the final 5 games. Jokish will start Friday instead. Also, not surprisingly Casto is still in walking boot. Is done for the year
  5. This is kind of random, but whatever happened to the Cubs hosting the All star game at some point? Obviously it ties into the Wrigley rennovations, which were originally supposed to be done this year (for Wrigley's 100th), then were supposed to be done by 2016. Are the Cubs still lobbying for it, or have they given up?
  6. Yeah, I will still be happy if we come out of the first 9 games at 5-4 and if its only 4-5 it will be manageable. I think we beat GB, one of Carolina/Atlanta, and Miami. To add to the shittiness, the Patriots are coming off a Thursday night game before our game so they will have 10 days off, the Packers are coming off a bye before we play them (as will we), both road games, and the next week the Vikings are coming off a bye.
  7. Lovie is already on his second OC? And I thought burning through one every year was too much... Uhm, he had heart surgery before the season. It's medical. [expletive] my bad, trying too hard to be a smartass.

  9. Wow you guys actually got him? I came back to this thread for Illini misery porn (no offense). Good get.
  10. PFF Grades: Ouch most of the offense and Lance Briggs:
  11. So this Rob Bironas death is turning weird.... http://deadspin.com/report-rob-bironas-tried-to-run-multiple-cars-off-road-1638104744
  12. Not yet, but some Fuller superlatives:
  13. So Julius Peppers returns to Soldier Field. Didn't he have a huge game in his first game back in Carolina after joining the Bears? I thought Peppers had been doing mediocre with the Packers, but I read somewhere that he had 6 pressures against the Lions last weekend.
  14. So well spoken that Jeffery
  15. you stole my thunder! I said that last night. Last year was the first year in Bears history that they failed to hold an opponent under 20 points. I read that from Banedon and thought, "already mentioned, but worth repeating!" Ah...whoops. Missed that. No worries, like Tim said it is worth repeating. It's just one of those weird streaks that I've tracked in the back of my head since last year because I'm weird like that and I was excited to post that the streak has been broken.

  17. I will say this for the running game. 1) It was probably not a huge part of the playbook to begin with, given our struggles with running the ball so far, and the Jets being a very good run stopping defense. But also, 2) once Fiametta left due to injury, they probably abandoned even more of the run game. They still used Forte with those short over the top dump passes to make up for some of what they weren't getting in the rushing game. That's basically what Cutler was saying in the post game. Something about how they knew coming into the game that running between the tackles wasn't going to be a big part of the game and Forte wasn't going to have a 100 yard game on the ground.
  18. It might have changed. I think I might have been looking at the line before yesterday's game.
  19. The opening line is a pick 'em. Bears should be favored at home, IMO. Packers have looked awful this season. Will be interesting to see which injured players are able to play after a short week. I'll go 30-24 Bears
  20. Why not just let it play out if there's any uncertainty? I don't think the refs even knew he fumbled until they whistled it dead. I could be wrong though.
  21. Was it him or Fuller that ended up touching it out of bounds? DJ Williams should have recovered the fumble in bounds but one of those 2 got to it first...not a very heads up play. Fuller I will not attack Fuller because he's awesome and the best player ever but that and the running out of the end zone after the int [-X
  22. Wow Fuller with a +5.0! Both Houston and Allen rated highly as well. Allen did seem to get better as the game went on, and made his presence felt on the final drive. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/09/23/refo-bears-jets-week-3/
