  1. Haha awesome seeing Marshall backwards crouch into the end zone
  2. Good drive so far. Hope we convert on 3rd and goal
  3. Breaks his 113 consecutive game streak
  4. http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/story?storyId=11605592
  5. Raw I miss your blog updates but I'm glad you replicate some of it here.
  6. Well Kansas takes the lead and cans Weis. Hoke next?
  7. Since there's no recent Other Games Thread, one playoff spot and 2 division titles on the line on the last day of the season. All you can ask for! Can't believe the Mariners are still in it, and have Felix on the mound today. For Seattle to make the division series they will have to win 3 straight win or go home games, today at home against the Angels (while hoping Oakland loses in Texas), tomorrow at home against Oakland, and then Tuesday on the road against KC or Detroit. In the AL Central, Kansas City needs to beat the Sox while Detroit needs to lose to Minnesota to get 2 shots at the division series. If that happens, Kansas City travels to Detroit. The loser hosts the Wild Card game against Seattle/Oakland. In the NL central, Pittsburgh needs to win in Cincinnati with the Cardinals lose in Arizona to get 2 shots at the division series. If that happens, Pittsburgh travels to St Louis. The loser hosts San Francisco in the WC game.
  8. Jeez that ERA disparity might be larger than EJax/Kershaw Unfortunately since the MLB ends their seasons on a Sunday, minimizing almost all exposure by directly competing with the NFL (despite the one season they ended on a Wednesday being one of the most memorable moments in recent baseball history) I probably won't watch any of this. Thanks for an interesting year Cubs.
  9. The people who wanted Carr gone were sick of finishing 9-4 every year. I'd kill for 9-4 these days. Only achieved that once in the 7 years since he retired.
  10. If Hoke was trying to get fired, he would be pitching a perfect game right now. Starts Morris who looks terrible. Leave him in too long as Michigan gets crushed by a mediocre opponent at home. Leave him in even though he's clearly hurt and hobbling. Finally replaces him when he takes a terrible hit and looks concussed. Puts him BACK in despite looking woozy when Gardner has to sit out a play, then Gardner comes back in as Michigan drives quickly for a score when it's likely too little too late. Also the team looks like it's rallying around Gardner.
  11. You've scored. Advantage you. That's 10 points in 2.75 games against power 5 conference teams
  12. It's fun bad at this point. I'm almost apathetic, I hate giving up on coaches but I'm done with Hoke.
  13. Hendricks is getting shut down for the year and will not start Sunday. Turner will start in his place.
  14. Oh and with a sweep and a Pirates sweep of the Reds, the Cubs could finish in a tie for 4 th place.
  15. Lineup: Chris Coghlan(L) LF Javier Baez® SS Anthony Rizzo(L) 1B Jorge Soler® RF Luis Valbuena(L) 3B Arismendy Alcantara(S) 2B Matt Szczur® CF Rafael Lopez(L) C Eric Jokisch® P Stupid little things that don't matter but I care about: -Cubs need to go 3-0 this weekend to play .500 baseball over the final 75% of the season -Cubs need to go 2-1 to finish with under 90 losses -Rizzo is at .897 OPS, I want to see him finish over .900 -If Javier Baez and Junior Lake hit a HR this weekend, and Chris Coughlan hits 2, the Cubs will have 9 players hit double digit HRs this year (and only 1 with more than 16) Anything else?
  16. Pretty sure Biggio announced that he was retiring in like July or August of his final season
  17. I found 7. Honus Wagner played his first 3 seasons for the Louisville Colonels pre-1900, and then his team basically merged with the Pittsburgh franchise, where he played the rest of his career, but I guess you have to consider that playing for 2 teams, so he doesn't count as an 8th guy.
  18. You gonna sit him for every home game the rest of the way? Of course. Except for the Vikings game, we always beat them at Soldier Field
  19. Must have been a pretty bad concussion for Ratliff. Hope he's doing ok. I worry about Allen...sounds like he's been pretty sick and has been asked to stay away from the team so that no one else gets sick. I could see him missing the game....which might a good thing since he's never won at Soldier Field
  20. lmao, dammit
  21.
  22. The Twins asked Hughes if he wanted to pitch 1/3 of an inning over the weekend to get the incentive, and Hughes declined. The Deadspin article I read said that if he pitched and walked a batter without striking anyone out, he would lose the record for best K/BB rate ever (min 150 innings). Then again, he's only walked 16 batters all year, and K/BB isn't exactly as sexy as the HR record.
  23. I used to memorize the roster every season and I can't name one of those guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk You don't remember Mike Brown?
