  1. Hester says he wasn't happy his last 3-4 years in Chicago and sort of implies that Cutler didn't want him as a receiver. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2014/09/19/devin-hester-wasnt-happy-in-final-years-with-bears/
  2. No Coughlan or Valbuena, both lefties, against Kershaw.
  3. I'm in 3 leagues. All 3 of my opponents had Julio Jones. I'm down ~28-0 in all 3 leagues.
  4. Should we maybe sit Baez today for his own good?
  5. I understand why we didn't resign Hester but it's sad to see him doing his thing while our return game is in shambles. Also surprised Trestman couldn't find a way to work him into the offense. To be honest I thought he was just done as a game changing player
  6. Meanwhile Hester has already forced and recovered a fumble today as well as a 20 yard TD rush tonight
  7. Making a career backup your starting QB is generally a bad idea (Jake Delhomme notwithstanding). Wish we had dat McNown guy back on da Bears instead of that bum Cutler
  8. Sorry CNN, the St Louis Cardinals are more of a drunk driving type of organization
  9. We have to find a way to get Valbuenas bat in the lineup often next year unless all the mega prospects are up and raking.
  10. Yeah I saw one game in the 2 years they were here and that was because my company rented out a box. I like following the box scores and reading about them but I'm not overly enticed to go out and see them play.
  11. Yep...the people losing their crap on twitter are almost exclusively people on The Score and The Game. ESPN1000, less so...cuz he's got a show on there. That's true. No one is talking about anywhere else. It seems like he said a lot of dumb things, pointed the blame everyone but himself, etc but nothing ESPN.com is going be pasting on their front page.
  12. "This was a bad day for the Bears, and a very bad day for Brandon Marshall" - first words spoken by Dan Bernstein after the interview.
  13. Damn, Twitter is destroying him.
  14. Boo, doesnt mean much in the long run but I liked them in KC
  15. At least he got a hit in his last AB? He was up to like .184 at one point last weekend but now back to the .160s
  16. Don't forget the DAVE at #6 overall Yeah I didn't know what that was when I saw it. I figured you would like that metric though :)
  17. DVOA rankings up through Week 2. Bears are 11th overall, 10th in offense, 13th in defense, 27th in Special teams http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/teameff Individual players/position groups Cutler: 11th in QBs Forte: 22nd in RBs Bennett: 13th in TEs Jeffery: 7th in WRs Marshall: 33rd in WRs OLine: 11th in pass protection DLine: 6th in rushing the QB
  18. I'm surprised the line keeps going up in the Jets favor. Obviously a lot of people are backing NYJ but why? Bears injuries? Was their win in SF not inspiring enough, or was the Jets near win at Lambeau causing people to back them?
  19. 3 or less in 21, what a year by him Just to compare...I'm not saying Arrieta is anywhere near his league, but Kershaw has allowed 2 runs or less in 19 of 25 starts. Both are pretty consistently great.
