This is like the 73rd most important thing in this, but I wonder if this helps the TV deal negotiations. Cubs making a statment that their games will be must see TV starting this season.
That's my preference as well. Posted in other thread, but I will put it here also since its where the traffic is: Baez, Alcantara, Edwards and a high-ceiling Low A or Rookie level guy for Upton. Too much or too little? People keep forgetting he has the Cubs on his limited 5 team no trade list. Maybe he would waive it, but he did update his list just this offseason and still has the Cubs on it.
I'm sick that one of the first things I did is troll Red Sox forums for bitter reactions For the record the opinion is split almost 50/50 between the above and "Good for Jon, I will root for the Cubs to win the WS if the Sox aren't in it"
This has just been a great week for Michigan. I don't care that he turned us down just greatly disappointed at the caliber coach we apparently offered the job to.
Hub said he sounded a little jealous of the attention they showed Lester. If he sees them throwing gobs of money at Lester, where they wouldn't extend him at what he deemed a fair price, then of course he's going to be bitter. Gee Russell and Lester or just Shark. Tough call...
eh, the frontcourt is all freshman and oh, the 6'6 C you were kidding yourself if you didn't expect a bumpy road for a while; that stupid McGary suspension was just so devastating The near win against Nova and the victories against Syracuse and Oregon raised my expectations a bit. Now I have no idea what to think.
And Michigan loses at home to Eastern Michigan. This is like Tommy Amaker style Michigan basketball. Oh and a game at Arizona on Saturday. Should be fun.
LF Coghlan 3B Valbuena 1B Rizzo RF Soler SS Castro C Montero CF Alcantara 2B La Stella P Lester Who would you have traded Baez for? Or did you just launch him into the sun? Price...he lost the coin flip with Lester for Opening Day start
He's doing one a night. Braves on Saturday, Mystery Team on Sunday, Dodgers on Monday, Giants on Tuesday.....Yankees on Wednesday, A's on Thursday, Expos on Friday then he will choose between the Red Sox and Cubs
Definitely not. The White Sox spend a great deal of their resources trying to get fans to come to the games. That's not meant to be an insult either. We don't exactly sell out when the Cubs or bad. Some would argue nor should we. Welcome to the forum, glad to see some new faces in here. What do your sources say about Lesters decision btw?
