  1. Maybe. I really don't know what to expect from this team. 3 of those 4 games are winnable but with this team I don't think any game would be considered an easy win. Would need to go 2-2 in those 4 games. If we do that, I would be ecstatic because I could see the Bears going 5-2 in the last 7 games, giving us an outside shot at a playoff spot.
  2. more to dumb mistakes than penalties. like taking the kick off from 8 yards into the end zone repeatedly, like running into the returner before he catches the ball, like one of your safeties thinking you are in zone coverage on the single biggest play of the season on jailhouse blitz, like giving up on plays before they are over, etc. like i said before, though...we have a bunch of idiots at the bottom of the roster who are doing stupid [expletive] trying to gamble their way into cementing a roster spot. we also have a lot of turnover at the bottom of the roster and a [expletive] ST coach. how do the other teams who do that like seattle and NE avoid having idiots do dumb things when they are constantly bringing in new idiots too? OK so we hired the wrong defensive and special teams coaches. We can't afford non-idiots at the bottom of the roster so they keep making dumb mistakes to cost us....and why can't we afford them? Because we've invested a [expletive] in our offense who currently is performing slightly above average. That was supposed to be the thing that would allows us to win when everything else was failing, and instead we are getting 20-25 points a game from them. Which would be awesome in 2005 but not good enough for this team. If we're going to invest a lot more in offense because our coach is an offensive mastermind, I need to see more results.

  4. Lovie's Bucs might have the same record too pretty soon
  5. Sorry I'm *starting* to turn on Trestman and I'd love for someone to change my view but what are we looking at? 10-11 record, defense and special teams have gotten significantly worse under his watch, team frequently makes idiotic mistakes that cost us close games (yes anecdotal, not based on any numbers), team has lost a game twice in the last 6 games because they gave up on a play and the other team picked up a fumble and took it in for a TD. Oh and that awesome offense we expect from Trestman, that hides all his other warts? 20 points, 28 points (on multiple short fields), 20 points, 17 points and 24 points (on multiple short fields). They've been racking up yards but at the end of the way they aren't scoring points, and as for being a QB whisperer, his QB has shown (at least this year) to have little to no improvement over his play. Still overthrowing WRs, still making bad decisions, still throwing off his back foot, still tucking the ball and taking sacks too soon. This is a team with considerable offensive talent and its been almost shockingly mediocre. 2 cavets: I'm not saying to fire him now, I would be happy to give him the season because 5 games is not enough and I want to believe his upside is higher than the results he's gotten, and 2) there have been some bad injuries on offense that have limited it, but all the skill guys have played every game so I'm not going to cut him too much slack.
  6. So Bears gave up on a play and it directly led to a TD and that was the difference in the game? Shocker.
  7. Don't let the defense off the hook, here. They are incredibad Not really a bad game for the D. They gave up 24 points, and 10 of them were on short fields given to them by Bears turnovers. On one, the defense held them to 2 yards and a FG. The other was a little worse, but either way it wasn't that bad a game at all.
  8. Game. Set. Match. Bears get outscored 24-3 the last 32 minutes of the game. Bears vaunted offense fails to clear 24 points for the 4th time in 5 games this year.
  9. God that was a terrible throw, it was like he was trying to throw to the Panthers guy
  10. Season on the brink
  11. The Bears HAVE to get to the bye week 4-4. If they lose this they have to win 2 of @ ATL, vs. MIA, @ NE. If they lose to Atlanta, the season really has the chance to come completely off the rails. But at this point, I'm more worried about whether the Bears have the right QB and coaches in place
  12. you're getting the hang of this i feel like i'm your understudy in case you have a heart attack or get really high and forget the game is on.
  13. Bears outscored 24-3 since Gould missed the chip shot FG
  14. Yup When he comes to Carolina as a Bear he fumbles twice to blow the game. When the Bears come to Carolina, he catches 2 crippling TDs to beat us
  15. Disappointment is becoming a fall tradition in Chicago unfortunately true. the annual derrick rose injury will be the final blow
  16. I cant believe this [expletive]. I mean I can but I also can't. Crushing my soul week after week.
  17. Between Michigan and the Bears this year I'm looking forward to basketball and hockey
  18. God this is the [expletive] dumbest team in football
  19. Just stop. Holmes did get bumped, but that was all on Jay there. Just a complete overthrow. Holmes didn't have a chance at that. yep. jay threw that like it was one of the 3 big dudes Manute Bol, gheorghe muresan and shawn bradley?
  20. So the difference in the game is Gould missing a 33 yard FG
  21. I don't want to give up on Jay but he's made costly mistakes galore this year. running out of ways to defend him
  22. That wasn't even close to on target
  23. [expletive] off Cutler
