  1. I read somewhere that Cubs GM was going to be at this press conference to announce the signing of the largest contract in Cubs history, but I haven't seen him.
  2. That's pretty close to mine, but I didn't make the Bryant to the OF switch and had Coughlan at a half a win instead of likely 2 wins from Valbuena. I also had Montero closer to his Steamer projection of 2.6, and Lester closer to 5 wins (wishful thinking maybe), and the pen at 4.5
  3. If you hit File -> Make a Copy, it creates an editable copy of the spreadsheet. Best I can do
  4. Kerr is awesome and the Warriors are so awesome to watch. I hope they come out of the west and play the bulls in the finals, although we'll probably get stomped
  5. sneaky this is mostly for you, but how legit is mgoblog and their sources? I am not as in the know on Michigan football as I am in other sports, but I read everyday about how their sources make it seem like there is a ton of communication between harbaugh and um and many sources with ties to michigan that they talk to think he's coming to michigan. But then I go to pretty much any mainstream media and they aren't even talking about it or if they are they are saying harbaugh said he wasn't going back to college. Where is the truth? To me, I want to believe its true but I have a hard time seeing him go back to college. At the same time, the fact that there's been almost no buzz on UM's coaching search and of course no hire, makes me feel like there's no way he's given them a definitive no at this point.
  6. For draft positioning here is how week 15 shook out: Good: Carolina beats TB (we aren't going to pass TB so it's good) Giants beat Washington (same situation here) Bad: Jets beat Tennessee (both teams had same record but jets hold the tiebreaker over us because we beat them H2H) St. Louis loses to Arizona Atlanta loses to Pittsburgh Minnesota loses to Detroit With a loss tomorrow, the 5-9 Bears would be tied with the Giants and Falcons for 7-8-9 picks. If H2H really ends tiebreakers, the Bears can't pass up the Jets, so the only team the Bears could jump beyond NYG and ATL is Washington, who is 3-11. So the best pick we can get is probably 7th.
  7. Love that dude. For every Morin that doesn't pan out there is a Saad to make up for it.
  8. Also if anyone lives in the Chicago area and has cable, all CSN Bulls games are available on the NBC Sports Extra app. Pretty cool to be able to watch the Bulls when I'm out and about.
  9. I don't know do we have any prospects named Matt Morris or Woody Williams?
  10. Hawks now have 5 Sweedish defensemen on their roster
  11. Anyone know anything about the guy they got back? Can he slide into a 6th or 7th D role?
  12. could use a fresh coat of ms paint. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Good point
  13. don't judge us by umfan Yeah judge us by Slide Castro Slide
  14. I thought Polians role in the Colts success was largely discredited. I also thought I remembered hearing he is really old school in his philosophies.
  15. Will do! Thanks :) That place is an embarrassment. I would like to start my own but I really don't have the time. I will take that last part as a compliment! I truly believe that our teams have the two best FOs in the MLB. I think we fire Donnie Baseball and hire Tito Francona next year. Then it's only a matter of time before we are both winning Word Series titles. Here's to the annual Cubs-Dodgers NLCS's to go along with the annual Hawks-Kings WCF series
  16. I can only speak for myself but I'm only messing around. Granted I don't particularly like the dodgers but happy to have any fans here talking baseball, didn't mean to drive you off Haha it's all good man. I am too. I never intended on being a regular here but I'm not here to troll either. There hasn't been an active Dodgers forum in years. I thought we could talk in peace since both of our teams dominated the winter meetings. I was genuinely happy that you guys got Lester. Whatever happened to DodgerBlues forum? I used to love DodgerBlues

  18. Someone do the work for me and come up with an offseason scenario that gets the Bears into the playoffs next year. Or is it not worth it and we should strip down and go on a 1-3 year rebuild? IMO this team needs a short rebuild. Is Cutler the QB who is going to start your next playoff game? Maybe but I don't think he's the QB you are going to build your next multi-year contender with. Need work at pretty much every position group and the only positions you can say we are "set" at for the next 2 years (pretty much RB and WR) are led by players over 30 years old so not really long term building blocks. They are pretty much the opposite of the Cubs right now who have above average management, and young potential stars at every position and great payroll flexibility.
  19. While I agree we could use an upgrade at SF, I think McDermott will end up being a fine pick.
  20. Will he be getting reps these last few weeks?
  21. Sorry, not fraternizing with you. You guys ruined the greatest season in our lifetimes and I will never forgive you. I hope we play you the next time we make the playoffs and sweep you in 3 games. Haha that's like holding a grudge against Marlins fans (besides the obnoxious Marlins Man) for what they did to you in 03'. 2008 didn't end well for the Dodgers either and we aren't very proud of anything with Manny Ramirez name on it. Uhh yeah we do hold a grudge against the stupid Marlins. When you haven't won in 100+ years you tend to hold a lot of grudges...
  22. They need to get their defensive swagger back though. It's just not there.
