They are 2 games into a 12 game stretch where their opponent's average RPI is 22. If they come out of that stretch at .500 overall in the conference, it would be a miracle (would mean they went 5-7 over those 12 games). I guess my mantra for DePaul basketball is "one game at a time". If I look at all the Seton Hall and Villanovas on the schedule, it gets depressing. If DePaul didn't blow those games to Loyola Marymount and Lehigh, they'd actually have an outside shot for an NIT bit (just given where they are now, not necessarily that I believe they will get there) at 12-7 (4-2) and 3 Top 35 wins. Regardless its just fun to be actually discussing DePaul basketball in a positive light for a change. They were never really in the Lehigh game, but they should have beaten Loyola Marymount and ISU. Yeah, being mediocre is a cause for celebration, which is both encouraging and sad as hell at the same time. Yeah I know they weren't in the Lehigh game, it was just a game DePaul should have freaking won.
