  1. maybe this just isn't the night for our pitchers. Seems no one can throw a strike or when they do its clobbered
  2. I'm disappointed Soler couldn't get a better throw to the plate
  3. I love Rizzos reaction when he hit the bomb. When I first saw it live I thought he was assessing if he got enough of it but I now know he was assessing how far out he hit it
  4. I wouldn't say they are on fire yet but I do believe we are out of our extended slump offensively
  5. Wow lifting him with 72 pitches and the soft part of the lineup coming up
  6. YESSS. Come on Bryant make some contact and tie this up
  7. I've never seen the inside zone expanded this much.
  8. Remember the last time the Cubs were in Pittsburgh and Bryant was driving everything into the gap? I miss that
  9. Hasnt Locke absolutely dominated the Cubs during his career or am I thinking of someone else?
  10. Man not only does he suck but it takes him 3 minutes to throw each pitch Wada we gotta do to try someone else?
  11. Has struck out in 46% of his ABs the last 21 games
  12. Damn looking at the Cubs-Giants probables, I would favor the Cubs in 3 of the 4 (Leake-Lester, Cain-Hendricks, Peavy-Arrieta) and Heston-Hammel is just about a wash
  13. I know, that seems bizarre. Not that perfect 6+ game road trips are common but in their 130+ year history i cant believe its never happened.
  14. Good to see both their estrangements from the team are over
  15. Upvote, yes Downvote would be a terrible idea on this particular forum Yeah, I just threw that in there because it would be hilarious to see for a few posters. But probably bad for the board. In addition to being plain fun, I think it would clear up some clutter to. IE: a funny gif is posted and you get like 5 straight "hahaha's" quoting the post. Upvotes would be easier. Exactly, plus the same with downvotes; instead of a string of posts constantly complaining about someone they'd just be tagged into oblivion with downvotes. Just ensure that it could at least be seen by the staff who is doing the voting. The problem is that people will still reply to them even if its downvoted and everyone will see the quoted replies. Same issue with ignoring someone now.

  17. Article from USA today about how the Cubs and Pirates are a bit hosed because they both play, along with the Cardinals, in the Central: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/08/pittsburgh-pirates-chicago-cubs-schedule-wild-card-mlb
  18. How the Bears can going 3-13 (most of these things have to come true): 1) Bears start out 1-4 (win over Oakland, losses to GB, Ari, Seattle, KC) 2) Defense has a hard time adjusting to 3-4, gets beat up the first half of the season or longer 3) Kevin White doesn't play much or doesn't play enough in preseason/early to become WR2, Marquess Wilson is WR#2 for most of the year 4) Jay Cutler misses multiple games as tends to happen most years 5) Offensive line injuries ruin the cohesion yet again 6) Matt Forte injury All that said, I feel like its rare that a coaching staff as talented on paper as the Bears loses 13 games in a season. They may not be good, but good coaching will greatly help you avoid a dumpster fire of a season.
  19. You are probably thinking about the 2008 game in Atlanta (aka the squib kick game). I believe they wore white on white for every road game that season.
