  1. I think it's really close that his hand may have brushed the glove right before hitting the base. Right there was no clear look. My only fear was them making a judgement call and not requiring indisputable evidence.
  2. Definitely safe but if they were doing it by the book it is close to "not enough evidence to overturn".
  3. I've been waiting 12 years to have another playoff "moment" anywhere close to this. In 2007 pretty much the only even mildly exciting moments were Soto's HR and a Theriot game tying IF single. In 2008 you are pretty much limited to DeRosa's HR as I believe the Cubs trailed in every inning since the 5th inning of game 1
  4. Keep hitting balls fairly well at people. I can't remember more then a couple of weakly hit outs tonight (other than Ks)
  5. I would have taken it even if I knew that meant the Seahawks are 0-2. Hate those bitches
  6. Damn. I didn't even realize that the Cubs now lead the NL Central in runs scored and are 5th in the NL. I'm pretty sure around the AS Break we were something like 4th in the Central and 10th in the league
  7. The homer hurt but it was his only XBH allowed all game which followed his only walk of the game. Again I'm not saying it was a great start by any means but it wasn't terrible.
  8. Yeah, I apologize. I was being an ass. My only complaint with you is the knee-jerk reaction stuff. You're no ARCubsFan. agreed. i honestly like almost everyone on here even if they are infuriating at times. at least the ones that appear to be cubs fans... NSBB right now: http://i.imgur.com/tHdUgNM.jpg I think we've had a breakthrough guys
  9. Maybe if the Cubs defense didn't commit 3 errors his pitch count would be a lot lower and he wouldn't have given up 4 runs (2 earned). I'm not happy with how Hammel has pitched but all in all he is having a decent enough start. Not what you'd expect for a 3rd starter on a playoff team but not a terrible start overall
  10. Damn Fowler crushed that and it wouldn't have even made it out if it was fair. Wind must be bad Also we are having some bad luck on hard hit balls tonight. We've been smashing the ball almost all game.
  11. Shocking on both accounts. "hey everybody i was going to say something patently wrong, but then i looked it up and realized how completely wrong i would have been" At least he's learning. Maybe eventually he won't post about it at all or will frame it in a positive way
  12. Gotta admit Hammel is throwing a solid game. 4 IP, 4 H (all singles) 0 BB, 6 K Has 78 pitches through 4 innings but part of that is due to 3 errors by the Cubs defense
  13. Damn you Hammel just strike out like you are supposed to
  14. Montero is pissed. 2 ABs with runners on 3rd and 0 outs and 0 runs scored
  15. Oof. Make them pay and break this open.
  16. Did Rizzo just do the helmet rub there? I thought that was only for driving runners in?
  17. [expletive] Fowler Edit: OK he was safe I'm stupid
  18. How hard is the wind blowing in? I'm kind of interested to see if the Cubs offense adjusts well now that evenings are a bit cooler and less likely to have the wind blowing out.
