  1. My God if Schwarbs dongs here, he is the greatest Cub if all time. Sorry Ernie
  2. Hopefully the Cubs offense is taking some notes on Cole
  3. Might be interesting pretty soon with the Giants playing a crap schedule LMFAO what a surprise doofus gonna doofus 99.5% or whatever with twenty games to go "might get interesting" but the cardinals had the division in hand in August because the cardinals don't do bad stuff Again, if the Cubs finish 6-14 the rest of the season, the Giants have to go 13-5 to pass us. If we finish 6-14 then perhaps we don't deserve the playoffs
  4. Lol Cubs Twitter is worried about the Giants again. If the Cubs go 10-10 the Giants would have to go 18-1 to pass us. If we completely collapse and go 6-14, the Giants would have to still go 14-5 to pass us
  5. abbatacola and boers right? i dont think bernstein is on the air. also bernstein's column yesterday talked about the same thing those callers did, lol. Yeah Bernstein is off today - probably why they weren't making fun of the callers
  6. B+B making fun of the fact callers keep talking about how great it was that all the plays were called on time, not a ton of stupid mistakes, etc and how that's how we define success. Mind you they weren't making of the callers (for once), but the fact that we've stooped this low.
  7. Whats his deal? I don't remember hearing him much in the preseason. Is he maybe still getting his explosiveness back after the ACL injury, or is the coaching staff just not sold on him in general?
  8. Hub loves teams that are well coached and have smart guys running the show, I'm guessing he liked what he saw from that standpoint yesterday.
  9. God it makes me so angry to hear that. I mean there had to be some redeeming quality that made Mel Tucker a viable defensive coordinator right? And yes subjectivity, I always mix those up.
  10. While I love looking at the PFF numbers and post them every week there is a level of objectivity to them (basically every play is graded between +2 and -2 based on what the reviewer sees) so I think theres always a chance of disagreement.
  11. Full PFF grades: Offense: Defense: Special Teams: Also some notes: Sounds like the Long to tackle experiment created 2 holes, at least in week 1. Shea!
  12. Is it just me or did it seem like the D was able to get by their man frequently, but Rodgers has such great pocket presence and scrambling ability that he was untouchable? We got through more than I expected
  13. I wonder where Winston ranked? Last by a country mile. -7.8 rating compared to McGlowin who had the second worst at -3.4
  14. Cutler was graded at the 5th worst QB yesterday according to PFF (-2.4), Rodgers graded the highest (+6.0) Seems strange, Cutler missed some throws and the INT wasn't very good but it seemed more like a neutral performance than one of the worst in the league.
  15. Does Lovie last the season or canned mid-year?
  16. I'm really not sure if I should be encouraged or not. Offense moved the ball but I get the feeling the Packers D isn't all that great. When we can run the ball obviously everything looks better...didn't get the feeling the passing game was really crisp but that could be because our 3 WRs have barely played or practiced this year. Defensively we sucked but it's the Packers so who knows if it will be better. Plus a new system so I would expect it to improve as the year goes on. I guess I'm slightly more encouraged by the Bears performance today but not by a lot
  17. I haven't been able to watch any of this game but from following online it sure seems like there have been a lot of lineouts
  18. Sometimes bad teams play well against good teams. See Pirates and Brewers. It's gonna be ok.
  19. Ok preseason is over, Kyle Fuller sucks
  20. Well sadly allowing points on 80% of the opponents possessions is probably better than the last time the Bears played GB
  21. Meh. Obviously I want the Cubs to win and pass the Pirates and Cardinals but I can't work up towith much anger
  22. It's a great game plan. All the runs shorten the game. I guess the less the packers possess the ball the better right? 3 first half possessions (not including kneel) and they scored twice and both sort of quickly.
  23. Yes tell them to make sure every pitch is 98 mph perfectly painted on the corner with late movement. If they don't comply 100% of the time, DFA them. Any failure is inexcusable if the club is to reach their stated goal which is 162-0
