  1. I would not be surprised if he is traded He has a no movement clause in his contract. Is he going to want to stay somewhere where he's obviously not wanted?
  2. They set it up so they could move a home game to the Sunday night before when the Cubs will receive their rings and have a day off in between.
  3. Even though we lost the next game, I still look at Bryant's HR to beat the Rockies as the start of this run.
  4. I think this team is so young and confident that they aren't going to feel the pressure of the playoffs, even if the fans at Wrigley went into their usual 'panic at the first sign of danger' mode.
  5. I don't follow prospects that much, I just looked up a walterfootball mock draft. They had Cardale Jones 1st, Hackenberg 3rd and Cook 5th. This was in late July though
  6. Man how much more do we have to do to get to 99.9%?
  7. Home field in the Wild Card game doesn't mean much to me TBH, and I would absolutely love to face the Cardinals in said wild card game if we can't win the division. I shouldn't be rooting for Pittsburgh should I? Arrieta has been awesome against the Cardinals his entire career and i really want that Cardinal juju bs eliminated by taking them out of the playoffs.
  8. Gotta admit Harens looked pretty decent his last 2 starts. Would really like to see him go more than 5 innings with this big lead.
  9. Also I wonder if, with 3 QBs projected to go in the top 5-7, the Bears are somewhat tanking the season. No one would ever admit it and perhaps the closest Pace will come is admitting that it's a rebuilding year, but if there was ever a reason to tank, this season would be it for these reasons: -aforementioned top QBs -potentially murderous early schedule -a sort of manageable way to cut Cutler after this season -First round pick is already out for the season most likely There's really no other way to land a franchise QB than the draft. There are a few exceptions but not many. if you want to get out of QB purgatory and give yourself a better shot of competing in the future this is probably the way to go.
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] Not sure if I'm more concerned by McCarthy being cocky enough to supposedly say this or by Fox's response
  11. Going to be an interesting and hopefully fun 11 game road trip. 3 in STL, 4 in Philly and 4 in Pittsburgh including a DH. Overall, 14 of our next 21 games are against the only 3 teams in baseball with a better record than us. 6-5 would be an acceptable road trip but irrationally optimistic me wants to predict 8-3. 2/3 in STL, 3/4 in Philly, 3/4 in Pittsburgh. If we do that we are probably neck and neck with Pittsburgh, although probably nothing more than a punchers chance at catching STL.
  12. Lol they are saying on Twitter the Illini game is postponed until tomorrow due to storms.
  13. And again at this point both teams have to gain 8 games on us over a span of about 30 games. It's possible and its happened before but at that point it takes a complete collapse from one team and a really hot streak for the other
  14. Washington has the same issue that benefits us as the Giants do, if they play well enough to catch us there's a good chance they pass the Mets
  15. Hunter? More like Tommy Homer right? #intentionallybadjoke
  16. Going to dongaholics anonymous after the game X2
  17. Going to dongaholics anonymous after the game
  18. The last time I felt nearly as negative about a season opener was in 2008 when opening up Lucas Oil Stadium. This game....will not go as well
  19. 30 mins Til Harbaugh. Can't remember the last time I was this excited about a game. Either the Sugar Bowl a few years ago or the OSU game when the teams came in 1-2
  20. I don't even know where to start with this. As fans, we think losing is bad and he didn't do a good job and that means we don't understand what happened? What a truly exquisite ego this dude has. Oh most supreme soccer being Jurgen Klinsmann, teach us about this soccer...err I mean football...that's lesson 1 right?
  21. Bulls were hoping to sneak that by the league. Hoiberg plans to focus extensively on conditioning in training camp, as he believes a marginally larger court will lead to opponents being worn out thus giving the Bulls a home court advantage. In all seriousness, I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the lighter court color although I like everything else.
  22. Yay, new count design for the Bulls Old at top, new at bottom They've made minor changes like adding Bulls.com and stuff to the trim of the court, but this is by first their first major change to the court since the UC opened. No more stupid basketball behind the Bulls logo, which I love
