  1. Bad inning sure, complete implosion though?
  2. I don't understand why he is still pitching
  3. Gotta keep them right there and then get some dong magic going.
  4. It's been awhile since we've had to worry about an extended playoff series, would the Cubs need to use a 4th starter in the LDS? I'm assuming so because they will have to burn Arrieta in the WC game.
  5. We get it: You don't like Hendricks. But, he has given us at least 5 innings in 25 of 27 starts this year. He is perfectly fine as a 4th starter. Funny thing is that I don't hate Hendricks, I think if has better command he can be an effective pitcher. I do think a 4th starter on a playoff should do better than averaging 5.2 innings per start though Eh, he's top 70 in baseball in innings per start. That's about 3rd starter caliber. Ok I have to admit being wrong here then. I would have assumed that was rather poor. I probably notice it more because Hendricks, Hammel, and Haren have all struggled to go more than 5 innings lately. Thanks for correcting me

I do think a 4th starter on a playoff should do better than averaging 5.2 innings per start though That's 5.70 not 5.2 5.2=5.66. Anyway, what's his number since the start of August? ~5.3 IP

  9. Amazing what a difference a week makes.
  10. Maddon gave him a shot and he failed. Why do we only have 2.5 dependable starters? 3 runs allowed is fine but Hendricks cannot even give us more than 5 IP most of the time lately.
  11. Now repeat with even more pain for a Dan Haren start Can't wait for tomorrow!
  12. Rizzo is in a pretty big funk as well I believe, Dong off Kershaw the exception
  13. Both of Coghlans ABs tonight started with him taking the first 2 pitches for strikes
  14. It's like physically painful to watch Hendricks pitch, watching him nip away at the corners of the strike zone and rarely get a borderline call, then having to challenge the hitter with his weak stuff because the count is 2-0 or 3-1
  15. You mean the 'Banks Buckets'? /Joe Morgan idiocy He called it "Banks' Alley." My dad and I are going to be able and say those two words and make each other crack up until the day one of us croaks. For anyone who doesn't remember this reference, Morgan said on Sunday Night Baseball that they used to refer to the baskets as "Banks Alley" because so many of Banks' HRs landed there. Of course it took 2.1 seconds for a Cubs fan to point out that the baskets were installed in (I think) the early 70s and Banks hit only a handful of his 512 HRs afterwards
  16. You mean the 'Banks Buckets'? /Joe Morgan idiocy
  17. Schwarbs is in a huge funk. 5 balls thrown in that AB, 3 of them swung at and missed.
  18. Fowlers like "[expletive] you guys I'll do it all myself"
  19. You don't have a spot for Javy or just taking a wait and see approach? I also think they might be holding a spot for Berry as their Dyson.
