  1. Freaking awesome.
  2. And looking like Brandon Marshall will still have never made the playoffs. And on 2 different teams that finished 10-6 and didn't make it. Meh on Marshall as a person but I would have liked to have seen what he could do in a playoff game.
  3. So 12 of the 16 games (and 11 of last 13) were decided by 1 score. Bears went 5-7 in those games and 1-3 in the blowout games. Kind of shows you how occasionally a bad team will have a fluky 10-6 playoff season because they ended up winning an unusually high percentage of those close games.
  4. jay with one of the best 3 INT games I've ever seen.
  5. Every time the dude gets some positive momentum going he gets hurt. Kind of feel bad.
  6. Bears got completely screwed there. There is no way there should have been a second left.
  7. Well so much for that no "2 INT" statistic
  8. And shortly after Purdue loses at home to Iowa
  9. So Northwestern beats Stanford by 10, then loses to Iowa by 30 who then loses to Stanford by 29. Weird circle of games.
  10. Yeah I think he retires. Don't think he wants to go back to NFL or to UT. He will give himself a heart attack if he continues for much longer. So he'll be at OSU in a few years then?
  11. They're going to be murder on all of those lefty heavy lineups. Of which there aren't any, with the possible exception of...oh. I wonder if that move was actually made partially with us in mind. Oooo other teams are building their teams specifically to try and beat us, how exciting!
  12. He's not getting $100m if his numbers so far this season stay the game over the next 18 months. Even with the cap exploding.
  13. he's done nothing his entire Michigan career. This is the most unexpected outburst by a Michigan basketball player since Spike in the NC game.
  14. Man it's fun being a Cubs fan these days.
  15. Is that just speculation from him re: Jeffery? I still don't see why they wouldn't at least franchise him given that they have plenty of cap space and haven't been able to see any game action from White.
  16. I don't really think it's heart vs head. The potential benefits to the team of losing are minimal. 4 draft slots will not change a franchise. Ryan Pace is either going to be a good judge of a talent and build a better team or he is not. A couple slots will not make a difference that matters to the end result. This isn't the opportunity to draft Peyton Manning we are talking about. Yes but the argument is what provides more benefit to the future of the franchise. It's an argument that cannot be won by either side since the benefits of winning cannot be quantified and measured against the benefits of a marginally higher draft pick. I agree that there isn't a huge difference between the 12th pick and 16th pick. If we were 2-13 and Peyton Manning was the projected #1 pick, I'd obviously feel a lot differently.
  17. Let's see what he says before we put words in his mouth.
  18. A loss allows an opportunity to draft a better player going forward. We know what this team is and the outcome of this game won't change that either way. What does a win actually accomplish going forward? Feeling better about not crossing an arbitrary line into double digit losses? Any benefits they get from winning are really not quantifiable, so I'm not sure what Raw is getting at.
  19. Well the season wasn't as bad as we probably thought, especially after Week 3. We have gone 6-6 since and were in every game but 1. One thing that's freaking annoying is the 3-12 record at home over the last 2 seasons (compared to 9-7 on the road). Looks like the Bears are 1 point favorites early on. Will the Bears get a rare home victory or will they improve their draft positioning?
  20. Win 1 week and 1 game to go, the Colts are still alive for a playoff spot. But they have a 0.03% chance of making the playoffs (roughly 1 in 3300 chance). They get in with the following scenario: DEN over CIN IND over TEN JAX over HOU BAL over CIN DEN over SD BUF over NYJ ATL over NO OAK over KC MIA over NE PIT over CLE
  21. Aaron Rodgers QB rating over the past 9 weeks is 81.1, lowest among all starters over that span.
  22. Damn...well at least if the Bears don't win next week they are guaranteed to jump to 12 at the very least since they would be losing to the Lions and one or Philly and NYG have to lose (assuming no ties). I understand why they do lower SOS as the tiebreaker, but it kind of sucks. Get beat down by a tough schedule and then because of that lose draft tiebreakers.
  23. Hope our draft spot wasn't hurt too bad with the W
  24. Insane that a team that was once 1-5 be the 3rd team in the conference to clinch a spot (and not a shitty 8-7 team winning a horrible division either)
  25. Wow What a bizarre ending to the Jets-Pats game
