  1. I also saw Week 10 vs NY Giants per a Giants beat guy
  2. I will not be watching Countdown and seeing a replay of the Hail Mary 400 times.
  3. Believe it or not, the Bears first home primetime game that isn't Thursday Night Football since December 2021, also against the Vikings. In fact this will be the 3rd straight home non-TNF primetime game against Minnesota. Last against everyone else was 2019 against the Chiefs.
  4. I'm so happy for Javy and hope he keeps it up. Wondering if the hip issue he got surgery on was really what was causing his poor performance the last couple years. Or at least how much that played into it.
  5. He also had a pretty big hit in the 9th against the Giants to score a run and put the tying run on 3rd with 1 out. In a game the Cubs lost by 9 runs.
  6. I was wrong about the 2 outs thing but you can’t advance on a drop 3rd strike with a runner on 1st already
  7. Dropped 3rd strike rule doesn’t apply with a runner on first
  8. I know PCA has had a great game but damn striking out on a pitch that hits you
  9. Actually one week in Dublin, one week in London. And valid points.
  10. If I’m reading is right, the Vikings will only have 7 true road games this year while the rest of the North will have 9. That seems like a big advantage for them, especially with the Bears road schedule being harder than I can ever remember seeing
  11. This is a record amount of time for the Cubs to put someone on IL. I figured they’d play a man down at least another 2-3 days before making a move. I guess Ballestarous forced the issue. Hes not on the 40 right? Wonder what move they will make
  12. Nebraska/Iowa used to be the only game on tv until Iowa decided to not run an offense for several years
  13. I was just about to write a post ripping on Seiya for taking a 2-1 pitch over the middle of the plate with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs but then he decided to homer
  14. Can’t keep King Tuck down for long, especially when he has the Dodgers ready to offer him $1b if he plays well the rest of this year.
  15. PCA with 9 strikeouts in his last 4.5 games (17 AB)
  16. Carson Kelly 1 for his last 14 while Amaya keep hitting. Absolutely not suggesting we stop playing Kelly of course but Amaya should be getting regular ABs
  17. Every team has peaks and valleys but the Cubs offense of the last couple of years seems to have it worst than most
  18. OK its official, the coin toss loss to Dallas cost them Cooper Flagg. They've now lost out on Magic Johnson, Luka Doncic and Cooper Flagg due to coin tosses.
  19. Shocker the Bulls lose a coin toss for draft lottery positioning and the team that won the toss (Dallas) moves at least into the top 4
  20. Definitely a good time to get an easy schedule but baseball has a way of humbling you when you’re not playing well. Thats why bad teams win 45% of games and good teams win 55% of games. On the flip side when you’re playing well like the Cubs were in April you can regularly beat good teams (if you’re also a good team which the Cubs are). Dont mind me, I do think the a cubs are definitely better than 2023 and 2024 but the pitching really scares me. Eventually the offense will hit again and we’ll play well (and not like the offense is playing terrible for an extended stretch)
