  1. Not that it matters but we had Jake, Lester and Lackey lined up for the series in Pittsburgh next week and now it will be Hendricks, Jake and Lester most likely
  2. That's fine as long as they don't start and stop
  3. Records Jake could be going for tonight if the game is played: -Any sort of scoreless outing will allow Jake to break Bob Gibson's record for lowest ERA over a 20 start span -If Jake pitches 5 2/3 straight scoreless innings to start the game he will break the record for most consecutive scoreless innings at home in the modern era (since 1900). Current record is 54 scoreless innings. -If Jake has a quality start tonight, it will put him 1 away from Gibson's record for most consecutive quality starts at 26 -If Jake starts and the Cubs win tonight, it will break the record for most consecutive team wins in games started by a pitcher (currently 17)
  4. This tweet says it best:
  5. That's the one I bought too, although now it's antiquated because of his number change. Damn that sucks. I bought mine this year so I am rocking 27
  6. My shirsey choice was Russell and I am happy with it.
  7. If this game gets played: [tweet] [/tweet]
  8. [tweet] [/tweet] If the Bears are really 'in love' with Elliot as he says, then you can bet they are one of the teams talking with Cleveland. What sneaky posted does make me want him more, but I have a hard time giving up like the Bears 2nd round pick to move up 3 spots.
  9. Why? Cause I'm from Texas and despise everything Houston and their fans. I didn't realize the fans in Texas were so passionate. I just assumed baseball was something people in Texas lightly followed to pass the time between football seasons.
  10. LMAO at the Sox fan that came up to my desk this morning and bragged about the Sox getting to 15 wins before the Cubs.
  11. Hate to be the Rondon Fan here but... [tweet] [/tweet] [tweet] [/tweet]
  12. Haha that was your "we have a chance" game. Now you get Jake and Jon.
  13. The Cubs have stranded a runner on 3rd in each of their last 4 innings
  14. Cubs Strike Zone Twitter has been very active tonight
  15. He can look absolutely dominating but every so often he comes in and has absolutely nothing.
  16. I've love this team. People have said in the past that the Cubs are at a disadvantage building a team that plays in a ballpark that can play wildly different from day to day. But here we are with a team that can dong like crazy or grind out runs.
  17. I am not sure I've ever seen an ump with a more inconsistent zone
  18. Jorge needs to watch his back because Javy is making a push for his spot in the order
  19. addy loves him some cold weather
  20. the alternative to hendricks nibbling is hendricks throwing batting practice. Well yeah if he's getting in hitters counts and then throwing it down the middle
  21. Start being a better baseball player Jorge
