And this is exactly why you shouldn't be handing out extensions to coaches like him when he still has 3 years left on his current deal. I stopped watching. Can't get separation from Rutgers and struggle to stop the run. That Wisconsin game is freaking horrifying now. Yes I am now also concerned about the Wisconsin game even though it's at home next week

Yeah I'm not worried about him. I just want him to get 100 RBIs and it's killing me to see him blow chances. stop even looking at the rbi column and that'll fix that 100 is such a pretty number tho, value of RBIs aside Oh 2 outs time for Hammel to give up a run

Nats lose and Cubs clinch HFA through the NL Playoffs before any other team clinches a playoff spot (Rangers are up 3-0 with a magic number of 1 so should clinch a spot in the next hour or so) The last magic number, which doesn't give us anything other than pride is clinching best record in baseball. I believe the magic number for that is 2. Edit: whoops it looks like the Rangers did clinch tonight before the Cubs my bad

OK it's the weekend now so I can't waste time at work making these posts so you get a horsefeathers post. Reyes has been really good but really wild so far in his career. Hammel has given us 3rd starter quality in the 5th starters spot. Neither will be playing in a couple of weeks. Go CUBS !!

Why is this realization even in your brain in the first place. BECAUSE UMFAN If you really want my thought process, I heard the 5-70 number on ESPN's broadcast when I flipped to it for a bit. Then I remembered he homered off of us in the last series recently so I looked it up and voila! Are you really questioning my encyclopedia knowledge of Cubs losses? :lol:

This is the last inning Len and JD will call at home this year because the next 2 games are on FOX and ESPN and obviously won't be calling the playoffs (on TV at least).

Moss is in a 5-70 slump, but somehow during that slump he managed to have a game where he went 2-3 with a game winning home run against the Cubs. Not doing the 'only my teams' thing here because we are too good of a baseball team for that, just an oddity that in any other season would have my pulling my hair out because umfan

they require more pitches than other types of outs if you're pitching well and getting outs, a high strikeout start is going to typically take more pitches than otherwise obviously, if you're not pitching well and not getting outs, and giving up lots of hits and runs, that is not going to result in a low pitch count either He's been pretty darn efficient with the pitch count, anyway. 99 in 7 innings is an average of 14.1 per inning. Anything less than 15 is really solid. The lowest average on the season of any qualified starter this season is 14.3 for Nova. In a playoff game, he gives you 8 scoreless on 113 pitches and you hand the ball over to Chapman. Can't ask for much more than that. Yeah this is true. I guess thinking about it, with the artificial 100 pitch count ceiling we've had recently, 7 innings is pretty good. Even 2015 God Mode Jake had plenty of 7 inning outings.
