  1. Brb putting all my money on the Chiefs
  2. Crazy half. its amazing that one team can shoot as poorly as they did at South Carolina and as great as they are tonight.
  3. Typical of an Evanstonian
  4. Agreed. What if someone buys season tickets solely to guarantee themselves playoff tickets? What are they supposed to do, eat a bunch of tickets for games they can't go to for the privilege of going to all playoff games?
  5. yeah, I just looked at their roster, I can't think of one either. http://m.cardinals.mlb.com/roster/ Oh well, Dex has his money, long-term deal, and we'll still love him forever. Yes and don't tell me I think that just because they were Cardinals. Edmonds, Miles and Lackey are/were all twerps on the Cubs too (I don't care what you say). Heyward is cool, but according to Cardinals fans he basically rejected their culture and way of life by leaving for the Cubs, so that's probably why. Also great job by the board, I can only imagine the number of Cardinal fans that visited here looking to see us ripping Dex, calling him a 'trader', etc a la Heyward last year and left disappointed.
  6. Which of the 2 posts is this referencing? (Yes I'm still not going to go back and find out)
  7. Fowlers wife randomly deleted all of her tweets
  8. Dex is too classy for those mouthbreathers. They will run him out of town after 2 years.
  9. OK, as long as we agree not to extend this to a 5th year. No desire to add Romo.
  10. Makes me a little sad remembering that game against the Cardinals at the end of 2014 where Len said Cardinals fans should get ready for this for a long time as he blasted his second HR of the game.
  11. This...is the worst tweet I've ever seen
  12. [tweet] [/tweet] Will still love Dex but it will be a really uncomfortable sort of love.
  13. Brewers positioned to be pretty damn good in 2018
  14. He'll be worth it or come damn near close and probably have an opt out around age 31 season He was worth almost twice as much in 2015, haha. About 70% as much in a down year in 2016. It will be interesting to see if or how the value of a win changes with the new CBA and its unofficial salary cap
  15. What organization currently has 4 "can't miss" prospects based on JR's definition of one? unless there's more to the quote, it didn't sound like he was asking for 4. he was just saying 1 in 4 lives up to the hype... i think thats what i get for quick reading through something and developing a take
  16. I feel like a Sale deal has to include Turner. Yeah I just read some blurb on twitter that says they can do it without him. Im not sure how that's possible.
  17. He's so ours 2019 Cubs Contreras, C Rizzo, 1B Baez, 2B Russell, SS Bryant, 3B Schwarber, LF Almora, CF Harper, RF Lester Hendricks Ohtani WhoCares WeWin Bench: Not Heyward because Theo's thugs that put Hammel on bereavement list force him to opt out.
  18. What organization currently has 4 "can't miss" prospects based on JR's definition of one?
  19. In the short term however, it appears they can pull the trigger on Sale and McCutchen and sign Chapman or Jansen and somehow not lose Trea Turner. I actually welcome this if they manage to pull it off. Would be fun to have everyone focus on another team in the league, and then watch the Cubs earn back all the love.
  20. Forgot who said this the other day but this is like the most Giantsy signing ever.
  21. He's played well considering he has had an O-Line pretty much consisting of backups, and a bunch of scrap heap WRs. And yesterday's conditions were not great for a QB. I don't necessarily *think* he will end up an above average NFL starter but I think he should be in our plans to some extent. That said, I really hope it doesn't persuade the Bears to not draft a QB towards the top of the draft.
  22. I don't mind having the losing games on there, even if all 3 of the games they lost were a total drag with very few exciting moments. At least it will be fun to rewatch Schwarber's only plate appearance at Wrigley Field this year over again.
  23. Well he made it like 6 whole weeks with only his play on the court bringing the team down, not his attitude off of it.
  24. Yeah and the Bengals really have like 4.5 wins because of tie. First tiebreaker for draft position is lower SOS gets the higher pick
